How are we supposed to know which statements from Trump are intended to be truthful and which ones are just hyperbolic?
Intent doesn’t matter…only follow-through. His yes needs to be yes and his no needs to be no.
He should aim to be a statesman like Putin who doesn’t engage in hyperbole. If he says it, he does it.

What are you even talking about?
You hate Trump, because (checks notes) he’s not a “statesman” like Putin. JFC.

FIFY…how many hundreds of millions did Trump send to Ukraine from 2017-2020? A lot.

Okay…you willing to apologize 3 months post-inauguration?
Did i say the war would def be over 3 months after post inauguration? Why can't you communicate in a way that doesn't make yourself look like such an idiot? Talk like a person who isn't stupid. There is a lot of factors that go into this war. Trump can impact it greatly from Day 1, but Ukraine will still have the previous aid packages. They will also have some help from UK. Germany seems done with their falling economy and France seems like they are close to being done.
Trump will have the ability to stop aide that will cut their legs both directly and indirectly. Indirectly is morale. I know you are an idiot but people who watch the war see the moral of Ukrainians already beginning to break. This is shown by their conscripts sent to France going AWOL, more of their troops in action fleeing the battlefield, and their their youngest and last draftable cohort unwilling to join the war. And this was all before Trump takes office and cuts packages, and says thing like he said today about the war, Russia/Nato, and the people fighting the war. These types of things will kill an already diminishing moral. And that's before the lack of military aide.
And then there is the fact he could pull american specialists and strategists from the field and cut satellite surveillance. So in summary he has the ability to make an unwinnable war by Ukraine and turn it into suicidal. How long the suicide last, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months will decide upon how many troops in the field decide not to quit before seeing the writing on the wall, and if the Ukrainian oligarchs kill little green shirt man before he disappears to London with his stolen US tax payer money.

Turned off the channel right there. Show some respect and stop the low brow name calling.

Dems create a problem and we have to clean their mess. And their mess gets bigger and more painful by the day. Ukraine is Europe’s problem. Albeit truth be told a lot of the Dems should go to jail for starting that war. The real war begins on January 20.

The Ukraine “problem” was created by GW Bush in 2008, exacerbated by Obama, continued and funded by Trump and then worsened by Biden. All of those clowns share blame.

You don’t understand the art of the deal. He wrote a book about this. It’s not a secret.

So we’re going to spend next 4 yrs with thread after thread about everything Trump says. Great. Useless.
Posted on 1/8/25 at 12:53 am to LeeeroyJenkins
True, LJ. I neglected to dump the RINOS and Globalists in with the Dems. Thanks for the heads up. They all deserve due credit for the blood.

I understand deal making just fine. I understand keeping your word even better.
The Russia he is dealing with today is not the Russia he used to “deal” with when he left in 2021.
It’s rode the waves of sanctions, the billions spent on weapons to fight it and seizure of billions of its funds along with the creation of a war-economy that doesn’t need the USA.
Putin will make no deals ceding any of the gains nor of the rest of the oblasts it aims to control.

No you don’t. You’re missing the bigger point. But you don’t want to see the bigger point. Time will tell.

How are we supposed to tell when Trump is telling the truth?
I honestly don't have an answer to that question. I guess I have just accepted that it is part of his personality. I am referring to when he exaggerates: "I have the best hotels." , "I have the biggest rallies.". He is bombastic. As long as he keeps his word on the big promises. I am more inclined to forgive him for little ones. I have also realized that it is unrealistic to expect everything Trump has promised to come into fruition.

Cool…you seem like just the guy to buy the ocean front property I have for sale in Jackson, MS.
You seem like the type to have bought land in Jackson MS.

When he said that, I don't think hardly anyone on this planet (except the dumb asses) thought he meant it literally. I took it as its at the top of his agenda and he would be working on a resolution immediately. He is trying to negotiate from a projected strong advantage point (and not the shitty one that Biden left him with).
Side note: His answer during that CNN or CBS interview, I thought, was one of his best answers he has given when they tried a gotcha question on Ukraine/Russia and asked if he wanted Ukrainians to stop dying and he responded by saying he wanted people in general to stop dying.
