So we've got one side accusing the other of insurrection, and the other side accusing the first side of abetting invasion. Seems like things are ramping up towards civil war.

So where does this end? If Biden claims control of the Texas National Guard, then what?

This is the core of the situation.

Trump is just a symptom.

they laugh at him and continue to listen to their rightful leader in Abbott.

It's going to end similarly to when AZ tried to do something similar about 10 years ago.

I'll bet a large amount of money that our textualist/originalist Supreme Court will not rule this an "invasion", and that this issue is wholly within the sphere of the federal, not state, government.

The problem here is Joe Biden is the only one actively engaged in an insurrection against the United States of America.

Can you cite to the constitutional provision that gives this authority to the federal government and leaves no authority with the states?

Seriously? Glad Trump finally put out a statement but DeSantis did this yesterday and did a video with far more clarity and coherence this morning. Both of them agree on this.

It's like some of you are doing all you can to push people away from Trump.

You guys are starting threads on trump not saying anything.

Shut the frick up.

It is, until the federal government engages in a clear dereliction of its duties to protect the border, which is exactly what they have done.
