You know exactly what’s going to happen.
Putin understands that Trump has no ability to maintain any specific course of action and that he always backs down in the face of any resistance. Can you provide us with an example where Trump didn’t back down?
Trump’s pattern is to announce crazy improvised policies that are unsustainable and immediately back down at the first sign of resistance. You have to be intentionally blind not to see the pattern.

There would be no grounds for claiming victory or defeat if Trump would back away from making these grandiose claims. All it does is provide ammunition to the opposition (seen here) when he can’t, or won’t, follow through.

Europe isn't ready to support Ukraine and America won't. He has no reason to stop whatsoever.
Putin knows Trump isn't going to war over Ukraine and knows Europe will sacrifice Ukraine if he stops there. He's won this war with strength, like all wars are won.
