Exactly right. Worrying about accreditation is something for the local Bars to determine, not the federal.
I mean if DOJ doesn't want to admit people who went to an ABA accredited school maybe you get an affect later on, but if the states would still require it, then this is just overused ink on surplus paper.
All those trees
True, and I misunderstood your question about membership being voluntary. It is voluntary in only the most general sense and a law school who chose not to let ABA accredit them would lose a lot of money and students.
But if the DOE refuses to recognize the ABA as the national accreditor, then something will replace it - whether regional bodies or another national body, and that would destroy the ABA's power. So, yes, you are technically correct, but functionally no law school would care about ABA accreditation at that point. Why would they want to comply with two accreditation bodies?

BA is a private operation and membership is voluntary so I'm not seeing some big gotcha. Schools are free to belong or not belong currently. What if they all chose to belong?
They are the sole determinor of accreditation
You don't see a problem with that?

Liberals are irrational.
Absolutely and unequivocally.
This liberal poster with his snarky quip is a prime example.
It’s like playing Monopoly with your little brother who set the rules in his favor. He gets twice the payday amount, and gets to add houses and hotels for free. You play like this for a while but its obvious that the game is not fair and not fun. So you say okay, time to play by the real (reality) rules, and he mocks you claiming that you’re just a whiner!

He knows a bunch of his lawyer enablers will get disbarred when he is out of office
You think the ABA has the power to disbar attorneys? Good Lord. Some of you are really dumb.

Lawyers lean left because they see first hand that the law belongs to everyone, not just elites. Elites don’t like this because it threatens them. Just another case of “changing the rules” when you don’t like the game.
