CNN this morning said the shooter was a republican. This has to stop.
UPDATE–SHOOTER NAMED: The shooter was named by the New York Post as Thomas Crooks of Bethel Park, PA in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area. The National Pulse has found Federal Election Commission (FEC) data matching the name to a location in Bethel Park, which–if the same person–shows the shooter was a donor to the Progressive Turnout Project through ActBlue, a left-wing political fundraising platform. The Progressive Turnout Project helps to elect far-left Democrats to Congress and other offices.

Watching the news this morning and the clip of the shooting.
That crowd deserves some credit for not panicking. Pretty amazing actually.

Sadly the evil person killedsomeone and injured other people at the rally. While he missed his target, horrible damage was done.
I can’t imagine that sits well with Trump.

Shooter was just below ridgeline but was already in that position before he shot. POSSIBLY was far enough east he had cover from that tree but images done look that way.

They made damn sure the shooter was shot dead so he could not reveal the truth. This was a planned kill regardless of outcome. Shooter was ignored by everyone except spectators allowing him to get shots off.

The more I think about it, it really is insane that he didn’t succeed.
Had Trump not turned his head, it would have killed him.
The fact that the shooter was able to get to that position, line up the shot, and fire multiple rounds before receiving return fire is insane.
This was supposed to be a successful hit, all on national tv.

Probably some of that. I’d also guess that crowd’s fight or flight response is a little different than the general public.
