Interesting. Chemtrails have been on the conspiracy theorists list for decades now. I remember seeing videos about that one in high school.

Maybe, but broadening the definition and placing it in the forefront of clinicians', teachers' and parents' minds has had a major impact. To a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Now any odd behavior gets run through an autism screener. And I'm not saying to not investigate potential environmental and food borne causes.
I would also add having children later in life may also contribute to autism, and could certain birth control pills alter the genetic process of egg production. Also as men age, certain medications may be decreasing the quality of sperm in men so it gets harder to conceive and when it does happen, genetic issues could lead to development issues.
