Well for starters the military and intelligence agencies basically did a soft coup to him by lying about the number of troops in Syria and Mark Milley went to his CCP equivalent and told him that he’d warn him in advance if Trump planned on launching missiles.

I was for Ron, and then he withdrew before the primaries in my state and I then voted for Trump in the primaries as a “frick you” to both my Secretary of State and Nikki Haley. Yeah, that was certainly problematic. Seems like sort of an inherent issue that any 'outsider' will be forced to deal with.
I don't know if it's really analogous to anything with Haley here, though.
Either way, I don't think there's any getting around the fact that he's going to be forced to "work with" any number of these people whether he, you, or I like it or not.
To me, it makes more sense to simply recognize such reality, than to think it's some great gotcha.
