Hey so - is there some way to get paid to be a Ron shill? How do I get some Ron bucks? There's no way this many of you are arbitrarily supporting him without getting some money for it.

Trump's gonna obviously win anyway, so y'all cut me in. I'll be all onboard for the Ronster for at least the next few weeks anyway.

Wait...you think it requires being paid to prefer a guy we ALL LIKED until Trump told everyone to hate him, or to NOT support Trump's ridiculous suggestion that DeSantis (and only DeSantis) drop out of the race "for the good of the party?" A party he cares so much about he's changed affiliation no less than five times?

C'mon with this...

You think everybody is as excited as you evidently are about runaway spending, growth in power/size of permanent government, and big gov't solutions to all that's considered bad? There are millions of actual conservatives in this country.

Nah, even if there were such a thing, you’d have to take Don’s cock out of your mouth long enough to do it.

You’d never make any money.

No wonder this lie is so often repeated here.

To deny this makes you disingenuous at best.

Without Trump's endorsement, DeSantis loses to the black crackhead. Fact.

Nah...you're right. Mr. Loyalty who has only been a Republican this time since 2009 is all about the party and the movement.

BTW...how many times have you switched political parties in your life? I bet it's less than Trump.

Reagan switched from Democrat to Republican. What does that do to your argument?

Ron DeSantis is finally the candidate we've been waiting for. He's got all the upside that Trump had except he's not getting indicted by the feds, he's got a totally normal home life and has never been a celebrity, and he is on good footing with the incredible Republican Party we've all known and trusted for generations. He checks all the boxes.

Plus he can DEFINITELY beat Biden.

You fricking Cult 45 freaks need to get out the way. MAGA was awesome but it's time to move on with a normal candidate who can do all Trump did and more. You want the swamp drained? Ron can do that. You want the respect back from foreign leaders? Ron can get it. Also, Ronald Reagan was the greatest president we ever had, and both Bush's admins were also great. Now THAT'S the Republican Party we need to get back to. No more of this sideshow bullshite with this orange freak. Let's get back to business.

Alright.. Now seriously. Where's my money? I can do this shite all day.

Kinda. Without Trump’s endorsement in the primary Desantis never makes it to the general election to face said crackhead.

The Trump endorsement that mattered was in the primary.

Don't you think it's a given that a Republican president would be on the side of a Republican candidate for governor versus a liberal Democrat in a general?

You'd think.

Meanwhile Trump has said Georgia would be better off with Stacy Abrams.

In 2018, the year Cult45 is claiming Trump is the only reason DeSantis won, is known for the number of losses rung up by Trump backed candidates for Congress.

In Trump's, and by extension his followers, mind any GOP candidate that wins is because of Trump and only because of Trump.

The guy is a fricking cancer.

It is, without question, not a fact.

We can read a chart. He was losing until after the debates. He exploded after that.

I still think "never" is too strong of a word. It absolutely helped but Trump endorsed DeSantis in December 2017. That propelled him to a lead in the last poll in December. Then he fell behind again until mid-March. DeSantis then led until the end of May/early June where polls showed him dropping back into the upper teens for support. A debate was held between Putnam and DeSantis on June 28th. Every poll after that, except two (one had Putnam up 1% in mid-July and another up 11% in August) had DeSantis up significantly.

The same thing happened in the general election where DeSantis was significantly behind in polling until the debates in late October. After that the race became a toss up, which he won.

The man is a great debater - which I believe is one of the main reasons Trump is being so coy about participating in the GOP debates. He knows he will lose support because DeSantis is going to crush it.

I accept that, “never” is a definitive term and I actually try to stay away from such things. Perhaps “highly unlikely” would be better. Also, it wasn’t just Trump shifting gears to a more energetic campaign for Desantis in that time period, it was also Desantis shifting gears in that, and I know this will offend someone but I don’t intend for it to, and for lack of a better description, RD latched on and “rode Trump’s coattails” at a time when Trump was enjoying very very high popularity in Florida. Not much unlike now. Did I say that correctly? I mean “pretty much same as now.”

I agree with a lot of what you said because Trump helped significantly in the primary. Where I disagree is I don't think he is the sole reason DeSantis won the primary and I think he was a drag on the general election performance.

If I thought Trump could win the general election I would support him in the primary. I just don't. I know too many people, particularly with kids, who don't follow politics and are turned off by his crude manner of speaking. I think that's idiotic and couldn't care less about how he speaks but it's reality.

I support DeSantis because I think he can win and even further he has proven to be a governor who has won on some pretty big conservative issues in the 3rd biggest state in the country. Not to mention he cleaned up elections in a notoriously fraud prone area which is a huge issue so I think he will do better at that nationwide than Trump will.
