I saw it when he landed in NC. He never said that. Totally out of context. I stopped once saw it was under Yahoo news.

Is it better or worse that conditions are set for a state to NOT receive aid.

North Carolina just didnt get jack shite, and that was ok.

Atleast cali is being given clear communication on how to proceed.

Dumbass. You can't prevent flashfloods in the mountains.

of course you have an excuse
can you point me to the tried and true method for preventing wildfires in california? why didn't trump mandate this easy fix his first term? and regardless, helping americans in time of disaster should never be tied to political demands. i could almost see 'you need to promise to invest more in fire prevention' but requiring changes to your voting laws? completely separate discussion

I’m fine with this. You don’t give a new liver to an alcoholic.

Whats with the downvotes?

The down votes are on the quality of the post.
It's quite lazy. No details from the article, doesn't say what the article is, gives a blind link to a yahoo coverage of the independent. (A left trash mag)
Essentially, it's lazy and uninformative. No effort.

I mean they are not in compliance with federal immigration law so no money. It’s what they do with every thing else

election day only,

The way we are polling is currently inadequate for a population that some cities have, to be able to do this.
It's doable, if we open more polling locations across the districts. But if not, then we'd have people standing in lines for half a day, if not longer.
This, would lead to people leaving the lines, and not voting. This, would in turn, lead to allegations of voter suppression.
Also, if you restrict voting to only just one day, you're hurting businesses. Because all of their employees that are wanting to vote, will all be gone over a specific timeframe

Things unrelated are just pure federal government coercion. Screw that.

Eventually, the Dems will be back in charge.

This.

The next Dem President will start withholding aid until red states fully legalize abortion and heavily regulate guns.

Every time the Federal Government that is run by "our guy" does something, ask yourself if you'd be ok with the "other guy" having the same power.

Not that I disagree. I do agree.
But if we take this stance, the next Dim administration will take this stance against pro 2a states. Or anti-abortion states. Or anti-trans states.

I support Trump but I don't think that is wise. States are sovereign according to the Constitution. If the residents of California continue to vote for their demise, that's on them.
Trump/Congress should pass some legislation that dictates if California doesn't take whatever stated measures to take care of and protect their citizens from predictable hazards they will receive zero federal tax dollars to rebuild or reticify whatever outcomes occur.

Petty but should be standard for receiving any federal funding. Goes for every state.

Lost that with the drinking age in the 1980s.
