No wonder President Trump didn't choose you to be his press secretary.

When I see this, I automatically know we're in for a really stupid take on an issue.

I prefer a car that isn’t a POS. Find me an American car that can go 200k at a reasonable price and sign me up. Until then Toyota and Honda reign supreme.

Not exactly…
Asked by NBC News’ Kristen Welker in a phone interview about whether he pressured automakers to avoid raising prices after his 25% tariffs on imported cars and parts go into effect, Trump denied that he told CEOs to control costs.
“No, I never said that,” Trump told Welker. “I couldn’t care less if they raise prices, because people are going to start buying American cars.”
How about making American cars naturally more competitive...better quality, better gas mileage, more cost efficient to maintain, more comfortable...without artificially jacking up the price of the import with higher taxes?
It's not dissimilar to tax credits for EVs.
If you want me to buy an EV...make it more reliable and cost efficient without bribing me with a tax credit.
If you want me to buy an American car, make it a better product and more cost efficient.

Dishonest Jackass!
Trumps tariffs do not touch all autos. You know that. Which makes you a dishonest jackals.
If you didn't know that, welcome to being educated.

I just had to drive to Texas to get a truck with 77,000 for 28,000. Here in louisiana everyone wanted the same truck with 130,000 miles v8 for 28,000.

But, anyone with a functioning brain knows that American manufacturers will raise their own prices because of decreased competition from foreign competitors.
Not just for that, but they'll also likely raise prices for tariffs on foreign parts and to spread the cost of tariffs across a wider base to lower the amount they have to raise prices.

Again, it’s not about manipulating the auto industry. It’s just about treating countries how they treat us. Show respect, get respect in return.

Lol, what a bootlicker you are.
Trump hasn't driven or owned a car in decades.
You think he gaf about car prices?

I agree with you. I just think the White House needs to spell that out better.

So, what you're saying is, Trump is going to teach those other countries a lesson by pressuring me into buying a vehicle I don't want, by artificially raising the price of the car I prefer.
What you're saying is that he's going to teach them a lesson by taking more money out of my wallet.
I'm not really concerned about what tariffs other countries put on American cars over there. If American car makers made cars that universally were truly better in every way and at a better price, that in itself would kill the foreign car market in America. American auto makers would sell so many more cars here.

You don’t think Trump has owned a car in decades? You also think that is the reason he doesn’t care about car prices? Holy shite. You’re an absolute moron.

He is playing poker. The sky is the limit is a part of the game. When you sell something for 5000 but say the least you would take is 4500, how likely are you to get 5000?
