No I consider both to be the breaking of national security protocol
If......and it is a BIG "IF"!......If Trump actually did this, he used HORRIBLE judgement. However, he probably did not break the law.
IMO, that would provide no solace.

“The president and the foreign minister reviewed common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation,” said H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, who participated in the meeting. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed, and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly.”
From McMaster who was in the room...

Are you saying if he shared Intel on a common enemy or something similar, it was horrible judgement, regardless of content? Or are you referencing some specific claim beyond that?

NYT says they talked to the source.
I was personally present and part of those talks. I heard the NYT reporter talking on his phone and saying he was going to make up a bunch of bullsheet and fake a recording. I could tell you who was there and could back up my claim, but they have to remain anonymous for security reasons. I'm sure you understand.

A quote from the WaPo:
How the frick does Obama's people know about the contents of a meeting that took place in a classified setting? I am assuming the meeting took place in a secured room.
Fox is reporting that only 4 Americans were in the room:
Trump
Tillerson
Dina Powell
McMaster
All of these people have released statements saying it never happened. So, I ask, who are these "former" officials that supposedly have the scoop and how the hell would they know?
Let's assume it's true. Then that would mean one of two things:
1) Tillerson, Powell or McMaster is an Obama mole
2) Obama still has people working for him in the IC and they somehow listened in to the conversation (NSA, CIA, whatever).

Oh, let's be crystal clear.
If ... If ... If ... If ... If ... If ... If ... If ... If Trump actually did this, he screwed up bigtime. That's easy! No question about it. Unfortunately, the WashPo is not a credible source. Nor are its goto leakers.
Well we're going to end up knowing whether this leak in particular is credible IMO, as it demands action by both houses. Providing oversight of the executive branch is the Congress' job, now let's see if they can do it.

What you consider doesn't amount to a hill of beans. You simply do NOT know what you're talking about.

Unimpossible! We were already told by posters in this thread that the Post went to extremes to vet this story.

Because apparently McMaster or his ilk felt the need to start making calls to agencies afterwards. Once one person outside the room knows, who knows who knows?

Last week the vice president claimed something on Tuesday that the president directly and openly contradicted on Thursday.

Russian spies leaking the info to their former partners in Obama's admin. As the dem law of projection goes, since Trump and Russia are being linked, undoubtedly it means Obama and Russia are linked.

These people are so busy frothing at the mouth to get POTUS Trump out of there they are making crap up with more sauces.
There is protocol in place that if (especially a POTUS never in government) did accidently wonder in talk (they all do this especially WJC) McMasters and others wouild have rushed POTUS faster than anyone can blink an eye. There is protocol in place. Especially with POTUS Trump's first Russian meeting. Notice NT isn't in here piling on. This is why, even he knows.
Wash Post should never be trusted again to do anything but line bird cages.

Open source is reporting that the WH has been in contact with at least two agencies (the big name ones) about the issue.

I consider this a stupid position in this case, since you don't know if it's true, nor do you know what was communicated
Same could be said for the content of the deleted emails. Or the intent behind them. One could even point out that private servers were a broken protocol going back into the Bush administration. But that has never satisfied the partisans.
The farcical angle Trumpkins are taking right now is so thickly laid on you can only laugh. "Lets wait for all the information to come out before we pass judgement on Trump's judgement." LOL
In truth, I imagine Trump heard some shite in a briefing, forgot the classified nature and let it slip out in casual conversation. What the nature and full extent of that slip is, and why our partners didn't want it shared, we don't know, but the fact we have a president that was so ill-prepared and let something like this happen to the Russians of all people, is just
Popular
