Rolling Stone publishes some outright lies. I assume this is one too.

Almost certainly. I’d hope we wouldn’t do something this absolutely certain not to work.

His last administration was a leaky sieve it’s not out of the question this time either. What a gullible cuck.

The reason the cartels are so powerful is they feed Americas need for narcotics.

Yep. If its not narcotics, it will be something else.

But destroying the cartels just changes the distribution model, it will not do much in the long run

Taking out the cartel is a great way to make Mexico show their hand.

Targeted assassinations isn’t going to take down the cartels.

We’d have to occupy the whole damn region for decades to fully do something like that. Which obviously isn’t on the table because we aren’t going to war with Mexico and can’t afford it anyway.

Just drone attack these fricks religiously from all directions for months.

Become an annoying fly but one that can kill an esse.

Don't listen to what he says, watch what he does. Everything you hear out of him this time is in preparation of hitting the ground running. He always starts negotiations with wild shite. And whoever on the other side is freaks out and threatens and then he takes it down a notch and they do and he's in the control all the way. I mean he wrote a damn book about this. He's done it forever and we still freak out because Rolling Stone is?

Let Trump do Trump stuff. We're good to go.

A certain number of drugs have to get across the border to keep stability.

I think people forget that drug money gets spent into the economy thus increasing stock prices.

And I agree, taking out the cartels does not solve the entire problem. Its much bigger than this.

Maybe not, but at least it will be some action against them and also force the cartels to do things differently to a degree.
Everything I've watched lately about the cartels talk about how much they have divested. They are spending a lot of money on legitimate businesses. Especially at the big ports in Mexico.

I simply said they would not have the balls to iron up with us. Thats not making an enemy thats just a pure and simple fact.

Surely the majority of everyday Mexicans would like to see the cartel's influence reduced. They have suffered at the hands of the cartels more directly than we have. shite, maybe it will encourage Mexican voters to make some changes. I don't think it will make us enemies.

Frick the soft invasion. Trump should tell the socialist president to get with the program or get invaded.

I'll go further, the US govt loves the black market, as it provides economic benefits in the billions.

I dont think we really want to disrupt the flow of drugs. The black market provides a lot of covert opportunities for govt as well.

I've said before, the 1st step is officially labeling the Cartels as terrorist organizations. Then who gives a frick what Mexico thinks, they either help or get out of the way.

Only way to secure the border is to take out the cartels. Some cartels might be as cruel as ISIS.

Border wall is a just a band aide.

If we go this route, we had better be prepared for the narco-terrorism that will come with it. American civilians will die as a result.
