Second, you're intentionally leaving out the context here. When I first saw the news on this, there was definitely a big WTF. Then the real story came out. He, or a staffer, recorded another video from Twitter that contained a story about voter fraud. That video ended and the lion king one started playing right at the tail end.
That's a huge arse difference than Trump posting a photo of the Obamas as "apes". You idiots are intentionally trying to use the fake version of this story as a gotcha.
Trump does plenty of crazy things, there's no denying that. But he didn't do what you lying idiots are saying.

It sounds like others here do make those actual IRL associations though, which is pretty damn awful, and deserves some thorough introspection IMO.
Rather than jumping reflexively into an old tired "THAT's RACIST" panoply, It would serve folks well to ask why they are doing it. What makes one ape association racist, and the other non-racist?

The problem is one side has no intention to be civil. "By any means necessary" forgoes even the pretext of civility.
So rather than accepting a sincere apology, shaking hands, and moving on, Dems treat the apology solely as an admission of guilt. Guilt deserves punishment. The apology is literally regarded as nothing but an accelerant towards that end. It only makes things worse.
