So even if it were true if 50% of his businesses failed then that means 50% of his businesses were a success and made him a billionaire yet only socialist will see that as an all around failure...

quote:As stated above, the ideal SOS would be one who represents the best interests of the US citizenry - not the best interests of multinational corporations based in the US, but the people themselves. It is my opinion that our best interests lie in the less aggressive intervention in the affairs of sovereign nations, particularly in volatile regions like MENA or Eastern Europe. I would prefer we deemphasize the idea that all the world's problems require our citizens to make sacrifices to solve them - particularly in the area of taking in demographic overflow from failed states in order to provide 'stability' (not to mention the need for military action for so-called 'humanitarian' reasons). I would want our State Dept. to be willing to cooperate with all nations up to the point where it conflicts with our principles, while encouraging our allies to do so as well. I would also put an end to intervening in the political affairs of any nation, restricting our intelligence efforts to information gathering rather than buying influence (or aiding revolution). And I would severely curtail the now-routine invasions of privacy of US citizens under the pretense of 'anti-terrorism'.
Please describe to us your ideal candidate for SOS in terms of professional background and international experience. Throw out a few names, even.
Of the serious candidates that Trump and his handlers considered in 2017, I would have preferred Joe Manchin. as his public positions appear to have more closely aligned with my preferences.
ETA: I went back and saw that my answer was not entirely directed towards your question, which was more about the professional qualifications of the SOS rather than their areas of emphasis. I would hope that a candidate would have some broad foreign policy experience prior to becoming SOS, and I consider appropriate military leadership a preference (but would shy away from hawks). Of the original list from which Tillerson game, probably James Stavridis was the best qualified, although I preferred Manchin's positions despite his lack of relevant experience.

So which one of your posts is a lie, the OP where it says Trump asked Tillerson for his resignation last Friday, or your post linking CNN which says Tillerson learned of his firing today from a tweet?
One has to be a lie. So, which one is a lie?

Your own link, which you obviously didn't bother to read, says Trump asked for Tillerson's resignation last Friday.
So what does Tillerson's comment made yesterdayhave any relevance to "funny timing"?
Idiot.
The state department just said Tillerson found out today about the firing. This goes right in line with what Rex said yesterday.
You are the idiot.

CNN is reporting that the State Department said Tillerson didn't find out until today. Apparently one of the media outlet has it wrong. Not sure what that has to do with the OP.

I think both are probably true. He asked for the resignation, Rex said no, then trump fired him today and he found out by tweet.
If the above is true, Rex shouldn’t be surprised though. No company that i know of asks for a resignation and when the person says “no”, just keeps rolling on

Somebody's lying.
Exactly. Either Trump is lying or Tillerson. Ima go with Trump lying since he has a history of pathologically lying and Tillerson doesn't.
Who do you think is most likely lying?

CNN is reporting lies again.

They're reporting exactly what the State department has officially said.
Does Trump lie?

LOL, I guess he did. It's a pretty nice gig. Maybe he should have fallen more in line with Trump and his stances.
He fought Trump on everything...sometimes more public than he should have. Trump don't okay that shite

CNN is reporting what the State department has said officially, no?

You're a retard.
Did Trump write the OP article that says he told Tillerson to cut his Africa trip short and come back to Washington?
Think, idiot. Tillerson was in Africa and was supposed to be there another few days, but was told to come back.
You don't think he was given a reason to cut the trip short and come back?
Stop being stupid.

Ive seen reporting that Rex heard that Trump was considering firing him on Friday. He didn't know officially until the tweet.
I think this is the most plausible explanation, but I'm sure we'll find out more.
Also, apparently the WH was the source for the WaPO reporting that he was fired on Friday. So yeah that directly contradicts with what Tillerson is saying.

Why would this even matter?
It's abundantly clear the decision to fire him was at the very least made on Friday. Three days before Tillerson's claim that Russia was responsible for the UK nerve attack.
This is simple deductive reasoning and use of logic.
Again, stop being stupid.

He can't help it. He's a 'barner.
Just let the dust settle over the next few days and it will be clear what happened.
In any case, Tillerson is out and Trump has appointed the first female CIA director which most times the left would be putting as the lead headline.
Skyscreamers like the OP and the 'barner will look for any minute detail to criticize Trump and his administration. It's what they do. It's the only thing they know how to do.
