quote:Pissed? No. Embarrassed? Yeah.
You are just pissed because Trump is POTUS
quote:So far, this is true. Maybe I'm weird, but I just don't like for a POTUS to call for private citizens to be fired. If their employer wants to fire them, they will. If they don't, they won't. It's pathetic for a president to involve himself in this, especially given he's long had a sour taste in his mouth regarding the NFL.
You simply don't like any style of governing that President Trump uses
quote:I'm not surprised. It's very likely that you are gay, but you're too conservative to admit it. And that's ok, we would love you all the same.
I'm not married so your insult is meaningless.
But I know you'd still love to suck Trump's dick.
quote:How the frick do you get that from what I said? Protesting shite is as American as it gets. A protest kickstarted the creation of this country.
So you and they are just for the democratic process as long as your guy/gal wins.
quote:
Why pretend that it's about caring about social causes when it's just that you are having a hissy fit because Trump is POTUS?
Trump doesn't give a frick about social issues, so they protest Trump because they do care about social issues. It really doesn't surprise me at this point that you can't follow simple logic like that.

And I could take Kap and the rest of these protesters more serious
Including his donations to impoverished cities, the dude literally black balled himself out of his profession for standing up (or kneeling) for people who don't have the voice to. Whether you agree with it or not, it worked. I think that's pretty serious.

Leave it to a liberal to use homosexuality as an insult.

No, the part that was meant as an insult was that he's too conservative to come to terms with it.

This ALL started because it got out that the Warriors were deciding whether or not to go the WH
no hell it didn't. this ALL started with the 'hands-up, don't shoot' meme perpetuated by the Soros-funded BLM thugs long before he got elected. it's been building since then. you been under a rock, snowflake?

Are you serious? Tell me you're not fricking serious.
As much as this board "MAGA MELT CUCK", now you have a problem with triteness? That's fricking amazing.

Same thing goes for Sundays. Only real men are allowed to watch football, now. It's a good thing as you probably didn't understand the game, anyway.

Because I think he could have chosen a better way to do it. Here is an NFL quarterback with whatever platform he could use to bring awareness to his cause and he chose one of the most disrespectful things to do at a sporting event. Where, I might add, 60%-70% are conservative white males. And now, I just think the rest of the protesters are pissed because nobody would sign him and they are just out to show the owners and the league, we'll do whatever we want.

quote:I could think of a million ways to be more disrespectful. I'm willing to bet that 99% of people watching football do not stand when the national anthem is playing as well...unless you're using the anthem as an excuse to go grab a beer before the game actually starts.

Like I said, whether you like it or not, he chose this as a platform to express his beliefs. It worked.
As for the rest, I believe their kneeling was a direct result of Trump's big mouth.

Exactly. At a post game presser, interviews, etc. but not on the field. The kid got what he wanted in spades or he wouldn't have done it. He put his politics ahead of his profession. That's on him, not the NFL.
After all, which millionaire/billionaire wants to take a chance of seeing his fortune capitulate over some maverick?

I don't think it has. More people are talking about not supporting the NFL than supporting his cause.

The NFL has already gone to hell. The question is how far they want to take this. I'm not sure that they can recover even now.
