I'm starting to think they just do this as an insurance policy to protect their show and their jobs. Sure they lean left and vote Democrat like 90% of Hollywood but that's always been the case and Late Night hosts didn't do this in the past - a few light-hearted pings at both sides when appropriate but not this broken record of whining and political lectures.
When people like Bloomberg pledge to spend a BILLION dollars of their fortune to remove Trump and Hollywood bigwigs regularly pony up dozens of millions for PACS and candidate fundraisers then it's not hard to imagine they would happily cover the balance sheet for any show that relentlessly attacks Trump/Republicans every night.
When Conan got booted off the Tonight Show they said his show was losing money. And that was when he was popular and cord cutting/streaming was less of a thing. I would guess the ratings are even worse and the production costs even higher today. Nobody is watching Seth Meyers. Youtube videos of cats chasing each other have way more views. But he's safe as long as he pushes the propaganda.
This crap also creates a "box audience" - the same core group of viewers watching every night to hear the echo chamber. Advertisers typically don't like that because they want fresh viewers churning in and out. if you've been watching Kimmel religiously for the past five years and haven't bought an iphone or Toyota yet than you're never going to.

Go back and look at old clips of Conan from Late Night. It will make you sad when you watch Seth Meyers. All these late night talk show hosts care about at this point is clapter.

Seth Meyers started that right out of the gate. Seth really wanted Jerry Seinfeld as his first guest and continued to badger him to come onto the show, and Jerry refused with Seth clearly not taking the hint…
That is until Seth said that he was now proud to live in a country where making fun of Caitlyn Jenner was unacceptable. Well, Jerry wasn’t going to stand for that, so he finally accepted Seth’s offer, and just fricking lit into him on his show, alongside some Woke POS reporter:

Dude, you say they live rent free in my head? Check my posts out of 2,000 posts this is my first time to ever mention this. So they occupy 1/2,000 or 0.05% of my head. I would say 50 minutes of 60 minutes of their show is trying to mock Trump. 50/60 is 83%.
So while these shows occupy 0.05% of my mind, Trump occupies 83% of Seth Meyers mind and Jimmy Kimmel mind.
Need to clear your mouth of all those testes son and start seeing reality for what it is. Need to take the right Matrix pill.

Every president has been made fun of on late night tv, especially if they're idiots. For some reason nobody cared that president's were made fun of until MAGA fans came along. The same people who claim cancel culture is killing comedy, don't want people poking fun at their lord and savior Trump. Bunch of soft hypocrites.

There’s been an all-out media blitz against Trump for years. Only the prog filth, on display in this thread, can keep up the mantra “muh don’t watch it if you don’t like it.” Well don’t worry, I don’t watch it. But (1) I used to enjoy late night talk, and now it’s been ruined by your miserable prog religion; (2) there’s no balance and no avoiding the prog filth. It permeates throughout entertainment. It seeks to brainwash the masses. And, combined with the prog takeover of academia, it has succeeded.
TLDR: these leftist shows aren’t happening in a vacuum, so snidely telling normal people to just ignore them achieves nothing. Bc ignoring leftist media is impossible.

This guy clicked on a Seth Meyers Trump video, which the algorithm rewarded with another video, starting a cycle where he now thinks Late Night is wall to wall Trump. Unfortunately his outlet for his rage is to come to a board that never discusses Seth Meyers to complain to people who don't watch Seth Meyers.
BTW: The only recent thing that I've heard about Seth Meyers outside of this thread is that his show is losing half of its budget and they're firing his entire band. We're not exactly discussing the network's flagship show here.
