I don’t give 2 shits. I cared more about stopping the flow. Another 4 years of wide open boarder would have been beyond disastrous.

And I assume youre ok with sleeping on dirty sheets when you stay in hotels.

That’s pretty disgusting if you ask me.

So your argument is we should accept all of the negative consequences that come with illegals as long as hotels can keep slave labor vs raising wages to make the jobs more desirable to Americans?

I am ok with welfare rolls being cleansed and those deadbeats having to go to work.

I am also ok with these corporations being held accountable for hiring illegals while paying them slave wages while driving down wages for corporate greed.

It’s not honestly where I want the focus. I want them to continue putting most of their resources on getting the worst of the worst out of here. If some of them happen to work on farms or restaurants so be it. I have a feeling that most of the worst are not working anywhere.

They're here illegally. If they didn't enter through a port of entry and receive a work visa through the proper channels, I want them gone. There are plenty of able-bodied, unemployed Americans that should be doing these farm and hotel jobs, and they will do it if you cut off the SNAP card and the welfare spigot.

If they're here illegally, they're here in violation of US law. If they came from anywhere South of Mexico, they're in violation of Geneva Convention asylum laws, which span internationally. Deport them all. If they wish to return through the proper channels, they can apply and do so... if they're from Mexico. Not El Salvador, not Guatemala, not Suriname, not Columbia, not China, not India, not Somalia. Those groups of people have different legal ways of seeking asylum in the US which is more of an "emergency" protocol, but just look at asylum seekers from Afghanistan, Ukraine and South Africa and you'll see that exceptions are indeed made for those who go through the proper channels.

The rest of them?

Isn’t the mentioning of the guest worker different than just an illegal alien ?

100%

Deport them all. It’s hypocritical to allow some to break the law but not others

Can I get a link to that one? I haven't ever seen that before. I also wonder why we had to reach a safe third agreement with Canada if this type of thing is written to the Geneva convention.

How many of you are willing to admit you're pissed off at Trump

There are millions of illegals here - and tracking them all down is very expensive in both time and money.

I would like for them all to be gone - but that is not really possible within any bounds of expectations in terms of time or money.

I suspect they are just formalizing the fact that they are concentrating on the criminal element, and those who are not engaged in any self-sustaining honest work.

That is what they were doing anyway - just because of the nature of the beast - this is probably to calm down the voices of the idiots who are worried about losing their gardeners and housekeepers.

He should declare that IF you are honestly trying to support yourself, then you should not fear being deported until you have the time to 'get straight' with the law. Meaning you better not be hanging out with a bunch of illegal dope dealing human trafficking pedophiles - or you will be tossed out with the trash.

It'll take years to just clean out the most dangerous and costly aliens.

I don't like it, but bitching about one thing Trump has done I didn't like while he has given us more than any other president isn't my style. I've never agreed with Trump on everything. I voted for him because we align more than any other politician. I never expected perfection from him.

No other politician would have even attempted mass deportations. Having perspective is important.

I really don't have a problem with productive, non-criminals staying, but no benefits and get documented. Our economy would probably collapse without them. But zero tolerance. You screw up, you go back. We want and need the good ones that are here to better themselves and their families lot in life. I understand why people feel the way they do, but people that don't get and rely on gov't assistance and have to work for a living tend to vote Republican.

Excellent point. Without having a congress that supports him 100%, compromises have to be made in order for improvements to come to fruition.
