Our job is to make it as difficult as possible for them to do those things as they will drag the country down. Doing nothing (especially when couched as doing nothing to keep them from doing something) just makes their job that much easier when they get back into power.

If they were to do away with the filibuster they could pass the mandatory voter ID law. Legal residents only allowed to vote. Photo ID required. That would effectively end any chance of a democratic majority. They are still cheating their asses off in the elections and look no further than The New Jersey Guto race.
The GOP cannot afford to sit back and let the judicial cesspool in DC cherry pick what they can fund. The future is now and they must act.

How long do you think any of these ideas would last with the Dem judges ready to strike every one of them down.
Do you not notice that the Trump admin is complying with every single Dem judge demand even while it is being appealed?
Why?
Because Trump knows, his biggest fear, is to lose it all in the midterms and face impeachment and criminal lawsuits where he'll die in jail.
Even if we dropped the 60 margin on a senate vote it would still not result in the creation of new law. The last year has shown us this. Even when the GOP pass legislation or Trump makes EOs they are reversed in the courts.
The GOP don't know how to fight this. Trump doesn't as well. TD PT board is full of people who don't seem to get this

Were you here in 2020 to 2024? I was and that is what we had.

Do we think these are going to be direct laws or funding-based ones?
Some of these are state-based policies where a federal law wouldn't do much, like the no cash bail and trans-sports.
The Voter ID and MIV ones would lead to litigation I reckon.

They would ban voter ID for all elections, make MIV mandatory nationwide, expand the USSC to 21 or something, make PR a state, etc.
The threat of the DEMs using this far greater than what the GOP will gain

Need to wait on Supreme Court ruling on the VRA in regards to minority majority districts.
If they strike that down and red states redraw districts then end the filibuster because odds of Dems winning all 3 branches anytime soon will be next to none.
