So we should shut the economy down because your obese aunt had to be hospitalized for the flu?

This statement by Trump to Woodward is nothing. DJT should've kept his mouth shut and not said it, but what he said and did in order to discourage panic is reasonable.

The media is OK with Fauci telling people in March that wearing mask is not needed, then many months later admitting that he said it to prevent panic buying of face mask needed for first responders and hospitals. This is reasonable to the media?

But Trump saying he is playing it down to prevent panic is scandalous. However, his actions showed it was very serious when he shutdown travel from China and then Europe. The media is pathetic.

Your personal experiences have nothing tom do with setting policy for 330 million people.

$4 trillion dollars is over $20,000,000 per death. That is fricking idiocy.

This is a HUGE point your post is making.

This sets the precedent.
This is now THE response and then-some.
Every couple years it will be something and we have to “be in it together”.

Gradually, or not so gradually, creating the “new normal”.

It won’t JUST be about this...THIS was a test run with GREAT results if your aim is to control the masses.

Trump worked with the information he had at the PRESENT time and projected calm to the American public who were cleaning out grocery stores and already in a mild panic.

Behind the scenes, he listened to those with expertise in this area and made tough decisions while Pelosi partied in China town and Biden played armchair QB and criticized the very moves that saved thousands upon thousands of lives.

For those that criticize, tell us what he should have been telling the public at the time and how you think that would have played out. Doubt I get any responses though.

Sure. Give me her addy. I’ll show up and tell her not only do I not give a frick about her kid but I’ll tell her how supportive I am of nature doing what we humans have tried so hard to stop it from doing.

The strong survive. The weak get culled from the herd.

Sorry you don’t like reality.

There is another thread about "climate change" as we speak.

Anybody who thinks the dems won't do whatever they want about that "crisis" is a loon.

How wouldn't she have had to deal with it?

The CDC and the WHO said for the first few months it wasn't a big deal. More revisionist history.

The best part of this is; the “downplayed” narrative ended up being spot on. We wildly overreactedto COVID19
