So now we are "cherry picking" what was exported in one month?????
We also saw a huge fluctuation in pharmaceutical preparations that were imported.......
I take your gold and raise you drugs......what next.
Admit it, the trade policies are working, we had a 17% increase in the deficit last year and it will be far less, no matter what gerrymandering nonsense you try and apply. And we collected a couple 100 billion in tariffs to boot.

Well the deficit is on pace to be one of the top 5 highest of all time this year. Thats just math, not expert opinions.
So its one of the highest, which means previous ones were higher. When it will be virtually flat this year and was up 17% year prior.
Serious question, did you learn math in Minnesota?

Maybe you should find out the answer to this before pointing fingers.
I'm not pointing fingers. I'm asking questions. Presidents usually come in with legislative agendas. Trump isn't afraid to knock heads of those who disagree with him (see Massie).
Set the agenda. Smoke out RINOs. Primary the hell out of them. The time is NOW.

Ahh you showed up.
Prolonged trade deficits cause inflation.
That's what weve been seeing the last 40 years.
Now run along to the MB and cry about Black Monday some more.

If both sides would just get out the way and let Trump cook for 4 years, the economy would be fricking gangbusters.
Which is exactly why they can't let that happen.
They want you sick.
They want you dead.
They want you in debt.
They want to destroy the USA.
Why? Because hate God.

If prolonged trade deficits cause inflation, where is it in the data?
From 1983 to 2019, U.S. CPI inflation averaged about 2.5%. From 1995 to 2019 it was closer to 2.1%. For long stretches it ran below the Fed’s own 2% target. Why was the Fed spending years worried about disinflation instead of trying to cool an overheating economy?
Now look at the same period. The U.S. ran persistent and growing trade deficits every single year.
Instead, inflation stayed low, stable, and often too low by the Fed’s own standards.
Compare that with the actual inflationary nightmare. The 1970s saw CPI averaging 7–9%, peaking above 13%. Trade deficits then were far smaller than they are today. If deficits are the driver, why did inflation explode when deficits were modest and stay tame when deficits ballooned?

Why wasn't there a legislative push from the Administration on Day 1 of Trump 2.0?
This might have actually been a stroke of genius. They probably wouldn't have passed. Now that we know the results, their likelihood of being codified goes up drastically. We just have to lean on Congress.
