The numbers you are stating are through October. If the trend continues for Nov and Dec it will in fact be pretty close to flat.

The deficit in September was 48 billion. Wells Fargo has said October is an outlier due to gold movement

"Ultimately this sharp narrowing in the October trade deficit is almost entirely due to the movement of gold," economists at Wells Fargo wrote in an analysis out after the release. That unusual move is likely to be reversed in coming months, they said

I remember other "experts" saying that tariffs would cause prices to skyrocket and crash the American Economy... I don't believe these "experts" really know all that much.

Well the deficit is on pace to be one of the top 5 highest of all time this year. Thats just math, not expert opinions.

Ok. Are prices up? Has the stock market crashed? Like was predicted? And what I was talking about.

Trade deficits increase inflation.

Inflation has shrunk under Trump.

It did crash when the tariffs were announced. So I guess they got that prediction right.

Which ones? I'm not seeing prices that have spiked. Please point the ones that did out.

Prices stabilized and deceased in some areas more than others. They are not up overall. There are probably a few exceptions.

Yet there are no tariffs on beef. I have 94 acres and cows. Feed prices are actually down from 2024. I was paying $12 for 50lb of sweet feed. Last Saturday I paid $10 for 50lb. The price of beef is due to demand being greater than supply. I sold 22 calves this year (400-800 lbs) and after commission I got over $35K. As long as demand is much more that supply, the price will be high.

Given those numbers, he could BURY any Congressman that refused to codify the tariffs with legislation.

Even from a grifting perspective, a stronger, wealthier America = more cash to grift. Congress is costing themselves
