You can damn well bet that if JD would have went to Russia 60 times it would be an issue. If he was taking groups over there (and that’s a big IF), he could have charged it to the group. I’ve taken groups of people overseas and my trip costs were part of each team members’ cost.
I’m not saying that’s what happened, just probably how they would explain it.
