I'm hoping it's desantis. He's younger, he doesn't have all the baggage. He's showing he's highly capable of governing, and is doing more than any other single person to counteract the commies in power.

It's time to move forward to politics after Trump. Take the lessons he taught us but he's not the path to success as a candidate. Too polarizing and that polarization plays right into the Democrats lack of substantive policy success.

They don't have to tell you why their ideas aren't bullshite..they just say Trump bad, Trump racist. That's what they tried in the VA gov race. Only problem was Trump wasn't there and voters didn't bite on their race shite. It didn't work. See they don't have a message outside of Trump is bad and Republicans are racist. They've got no policy to fall back on. Running Trump in 2024 would be a win fit Democrats because they can run on not being Trump rather than policy and that's a win for them.

No, he's not. Trump is just as electable as Desantis.

I’m sorry you’re in a cult. Yes, Trump in all likelihood would win in 2024, but you’re not looking at the big picture here. Trump would further divide the country no matter what he did or said. Some people just can’t be convinced to fall in line with him specifically.

From the suburban mom just compare it from her perspective.

DeSantis: Awww he’s handsome, he’s young, he’s a family man, has cute kids, and he stood by his wife while she battled breast cancer. That’s a good husband right there!

Trump: This piece of shite has been married three times, cheated on all his wives, one of them being a pornstar while his wife was nurturing their newborn, and said he grabs women by the pussy. frick that guy!

Get out of the cult dude.

Yeah, if DeSantis were not elected governor of Florida, we’d be like Australia right now still on lockdown and the Democratic states would require the vaccine and/or a mask to vote. I think when it’s all said and done, Trump endorsing DeSantis may be the most consequential thing he did in office.

The best case for Trump in 2024 is another modest win like 2016 was and that's a big IF, not guaranteed at all and also dependent on what Trump AND democrats do.

It's all risk for a bare and mere reward.

I'll vote for either DeSantis or Trump. I'm good with either. May the best man get the nomination.

Trump was a madman and controlled the media throughout the campaign. All the while sleepy Joe stayed in his basement. I lost count of the number of rallies with TENS of thousands in attendance at each one.

People attending rallies are the people already voting for him no matter what. The main goal of campaigns is to get high then out for those people and try to steal as many independents and cross over voters. He didn't do a great job of the latter.

As with liberals calling you a racist, the trumpkins calling you a RINO is a sure sign that they dont have much substance.

This is coming from a 2 time trump voter.

All while in reality, if it's between trump and desantis, the only RINO is Trump. Desantis is 3x the conservative that trump is.

And that's also coming from a two-time Trump voter, who will vote for him again in a heartbeat if he's the nominee

Also DeSantis can syphon off Democrats who refused to vote for Trump. I think Bill Maher and Sam Harris may vote for him at this point or in the very least highly consider it. DeSantis is also an environmentalist which is another point in his favor among Democrats and no Republican really gives a frick about that so long as you don’t shut down our pipelines.

This.

DeSantis has all the momentum while Trump has the 2020 loss baggage.

Trump will also be 81 years old.

Ummmm, yes. I’ve said Trump is the Gaius Marius to DeSantis’ Caesar. You are in a cult and need to let go of the Orange Man. The Orange Man should go out and do rallies, but that’s it.

I ran the “who are you voting for thread” in 2015 and supported Trump on here, donations, bought hats, etc. (I actually forgot to vote on Election Day though).

I even bought my old man one of the rare HRC wins Newsweek editions.

I’ll admit I didn’t expect him to win, but I don’t think I was the only one.

Ok…

And I think DeSantis would be a better candidate, not to mention he is younger.

Grover Cleveland is the only president to serve non-consecutive terms.

These people are still stuck in the 2015-16 cycle while the rest of us are living in a completely different world nearly 6 years later.

It's like time never moved for them.

No you need to grow up and grasp reality. You can't. You don't get it. You didn't in 2015 and you won't now.

You are the old school rino left over.

You 100% have zero idea on what is happening on the ground nation wide. You have no idea what is happening with the movement with school boards. With seats being filled within the party even.

2020 woke people up and they know what happened.

You can go about your rino ways, but those people no longer control this party. It's not a game to us. It's not "politics". It's life. It's no longer say one thing to get elected and we are ok with it.

Nobody is in a cult. You and the few rinos here can spout that all day long and it won't change what we are doing on the ground. It won't change the fact that when Trump is gone... we won't be.

You keep believing that this is about Trump. I will keep working and laughing.

Completely agree.

Society is significantly different now than it was in 2015-16.

Am I? I could have sworn I sent out over 60 emails today to our groups in Va. I have spoken to many of them today.

I had NO Idea that I was working on 2015.
