You keep believing that this is about Trump. I will keep working and laughing.
I just don’t see how DeSantis wouldn’t be as good, if not better, of a choice than Trump.
He has pretty much stuck to Trump’s methods when dealing with the press and positions, and he is significantly younger.
He has all of Trump’s directness and, being young with a wife and young kids, can sway the suburban moms on that alone.

Lower energy. Latinos aren't in to that

Trump with DeSantis as Vp. That would be great ticket IMO.
My only deal with Trump going first and not DeSantis is that having Trump for 4 years and then DeSantis for 2 more terms after that would be absolutely ideal in terms of getting stuff done. Plus it would put DeSantis on a national stage (with responsibility) and help him learn at a faster curve.
We need continuous terms strung together. This back and forth every 4 years is going to make sure not a damn thing happens in DC.

Only the Rinos are trying to make it a vs thing.
Ron and Don talk regularly.
These few in here hated that Trump won. At one point, Pro amnesty. Ask them.....

Which means he has a lot of time.

Trump didn't have a 2020 vote problem. The nation had a Rino and Dem problem.

Two things...
- It's illegal for the Presidential and VP nominees on the same ticket to be from the same state. One of them would have to move out of Florida and establish residency in another state and that's obviously not going to be Ron.
- DeSantis is not going to give up being Governor of Florida for a toothless figurehead ceremonial position where he is absolutely not allowed to overshadow the President and has to remain quiet. Florida Governor has far more power than VP has. Plus he is not going to attach his name to the Trump brand.

DeSantis has far more governing and political experience right now than Trump ever did in January 2017 when he was sworn in as President.

Ahh. Yep. Forgot about that. Good point.

Trump put Pence in charge of the national covid pandemic response. Biden put Kamala in charge of the border situation. GWB put Cheney over the campaign against terrorism with Iraq. You can go on and on here.
Regardless of the outcomes of each event, that's experience that you don't gain as the governor of Florida.

The fact that Trump didn't and still pointed the US in the right direction was a sign that people were tired of true politicians. I didn't mean political experience. Sorry I should have clarified better

100% agree

While I still like Trump it’s time to move on. Obviously the Virginia Republicans found a winning message and I think candidates need to take not of that. DeSantis needs to be the guy in 2024.

I love Ron, but my worry is I just don't know if he can thread the needle in the midwest like Trump with union baws.

I’m not going to put up with this cultish behavior after the last election and especially after the Georgia election where many of y’all intentionally sunk the ship in the name of Trump. Those people should be reviled and should be forced into gimp suits for doing that. DeSantis is an ace in the hole, but want to blow the Orange Man. If you want to do that, go to one of his rallies.
Don't put up with. You can do what I (and 100s more) have done. Organize and show the everyday person why they should get active, how to get active, how to be in positions where rinos will no longer have control.
You will never change. Kemp lost that state. Ratman lost that state. They made the deals with Stacey. They ignored the state laws.
Like I said. You will never get that this is way bigger than you think and way bigger than Trump.
You are too consumed with appeasement to the media and the left.

Seriously, this point alone makes him a better candidate than Trump.
You voted for Hilda in 2016
You should be the last person to be so vocal about your opinion

I'm not in a cult, I just don't have a vag like you.
Let's compare baggage.
Trump cheated on his wives.
Biden diddles little kids and Kamala wears a mattress and knee pads to advance in life.
So I guess those assets by the Democrats are actually suppose to make all those soccer moms swoon?

And look where those VP's are?
Irrelevant with no political power and influence to speak of.
Even Biden who was a VP still needed a miracle virus and shady election practices to pull out a squeaker.
Being VP is nothing more than diminishing returns.

DeSantis is the one that literally did the complete opposite of what Fauci did and kept Florida open. He was so effective that other GOP Governors are basically copying what he's doing now.
He was far more effective than Mike Pence ever was.
That's a bully pulpit the Vice Presidency cannot give him.
DeSantis is not giving that up.

The fact that Trump didn't and still pointed the US in the right direction
Trump still left a lot on the table and frustrated his potential with bad hires, lack of attention to detail and too much barking and not enough biting.
I haven't seen anything with DeSantis that could be the same case with him as well.
