Crimes are investigated. The records of those crimes are documented. The government has a chain of custody of those documents investigating the crime to enforce potential prosecutions. Those documents can't "disappear" because they are catalogued and filed and duplicated across many agencies.

This right here. Trump and Epstein did have a relationship but if there was any evidence he participated in the bad stuff it would be released and he wouldn’t be in office right now.

Epstein was running an interesting operation. It seems to all involve powerful people, but not all were part of the pedo crimes.
He seemed to use powerful people to get access to other powerful people. Scientists, Hollywood, politicians etc. they’d enter his orbit because he provided access to others. The powerful love hobnobbing with other powerful.
Obviously he was running a sex ring as well but that was a different service

This is the only reason I can see for not releasing it. I don’t agree with it, but I see it. Epstein was a sick, evil frick so I could absolutely see him planting fake names just to take the entire world down with him if it came to it. He had to know, whether it was true or not, attaching someone’s name to him would destroy it once he was figured out.
