SR71's flew at the ultra high altitudes they did for defensive purposes. Certainly not because of better resolution. The less atmosphere to shoot through the better.

B-Take out Iran's entire Navy

It would:

Put Putin in his place

shite on the MSM's Russia narrative

Kick the EU in the nads (that means they find new sources (USA?) and pay more (an advantage to us as it relates to our concerns over unfair trade?

Kick Japan in the nads for the reasons listed above.

Kick China in the nads (I doubt that they honored the ema6rgo, no matter what IB says).

Force Iran to give up some dirt on BO and HRC (pallets of cash for those interested) in exchange for leniency.

Not really? Detail resolution at 5 miles is not better than at 18miles using the same equipment? Of course it is.

Do you really think its the same equipment at tech from that era?

Certainly makes you wonder how the Iranians managed to shoot down a drone that can fly at over 100,000 ft. Could be the US was using the drone to test the surface to air capabilities of Iranian military, could be the US was just careless and was flying the drone too low....if that drone was at it's max altitude and the Iranians shot it down that's a reason to be concerned.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Iranians get the S-400 SAM system from Russia? This would be more than capable of shooting it down.

What?

Are you under the impression photographic equipment has equivalent detail resolution at 4 and 18 miles?

You honestly think Trump will do anything outside of faux rage on Twitter?

I think he will handle business if the situation calls for it. This is what drives me nuts...those of us who support Trump rode in with Trump because we liked him and his policies and trusted him to do right by us. Well I rode in with him and I will keep with him unless he does something obvious. I trust him to do what is best for this country. I also know he has a LOT of info that we are not privy to and is in a position to make judgment calls based on this information that the rest of us simply don't have.

It is like a football coach who doesn't play a player in a game inexplicably. We get on here and bitch and moan about it. We ask WTF as if we know some of the behind the scenes details that the coach knows. The player could be hurt and have it kept quiet for a strategic reason. If you like and trust your coach, you damn sure need to stick with him. Well I trust Trump in this case to do what is right in his thinking.

As for Obama, he showed me by his actions things which made me question his love of the country so with him...no I would have reservations on what he did for the most part so it isn't comparable...we have two different Presidents in Obama and Trump with two different levels of concern for this country. Bottom line...

quote:

He left himself an "out" with the "I think that it was a mistake by someone stupid"

He also might have a strategic reason for this. Again this goes back to trust. You might not trust his methods but I do keeping in mind he is human, I am going to support what Trump does.

Are we really going to war because someone shot down an unmanned drone?

Oh and what a surprise; it’s one of Israel’s many enemies.

You can see the war mongers of PT on display in this thread.

There’s probably more full blown communists on PT than there are folks clamoring for war with Iran right now. But you keep slaying those scarecrows, bro.

Trump “Iran made a very big mistake”

Iran made that mistake the moment they overthrew the Shah and replaced him with the Revolutionary Govt, Iran during the Shah's rule was remarkably progressive for the region at the time, women had tons of rights and shite but the regressive Ayatollah swooped in and reversed all that, figures

I'll tell you something else Catsup Boy and Obama have to answer for. You had an uprising in the beginning stages in Iran. Obama would not support it and it withered away.

Well there are at least a half dozen in this thread voting on which act of war would be the best and one claiming that we have to stop a nuclear war between the Saudis and the Persians.

I guess all of the war mongers on PT decided to post in this thread.
