Doubt anyone is excited. No one is exactly thrilled with losing a multi-million dollar piece of equipment. We learned our lessons from the USS Cole about the price of doing nothing.

Which US targets did North Korea strike?

Then it must be puzzling to you why we've held strong sanctions in place over them, all while stopping their nuclear tests.

Not really. This was inevitable. 40 years of stewing, pot was going to boil over eventually.

Iran's best bet is to find a way to detonate an EMP weapon above the USA. This would cause great havoc.

And they'd never get to see how it turned out unfortunately.

Getting into a war with Iran would not bode well for his re-election in 2020...although this would check two boxes for the deep state. Don't do it.

I expect a similar response as to his strikes into Syria.

Starting a war with Iran would be a disaster.
And Iran loves you for buying into this mindless narrative.

The precise moment (below) when the Iranians released the American hostages after 444 days in captivity:

They are paper tigers. Wake up.

They will test every American president. Some will respond with plane loads of cash and some with plane loads of ordinance. Which one will Trump respond with?

Are you certain that the USA would be able to accurately identify Iran as the perpetrator?

I'm far from certain Iran could pull off such an attack, so I'd start there.

Ever heard of Federal Fridays (no one to be found in government offices but the secretary after lunch)? The amount of that drone is peed away in a day by federal workers and contractors.

Then, leave! No drawn out war/regime change/nation building.

I wish it were that simple. Causing a huge humanitarian crisis or the backfill of cluster f that happens after.

Let's just not go to war

I'm not advocating for war, but the above are two things I don't give two shits about.

I tell what you should give two shits about---neither the EU or Japan has joined in our current boycott of Iran. (believe it or not China was actually boycotting until the tariffs went into place and then they started buying oil from Iran again.)

If we do something to interrupt the business between the EU and Iran or between the Japanese and Iran we will have allies against us on this issue. Both buy lots of oil from Iran.

This is why I say get the heck out of there. We have NOTHING to gain and lots to lose. Let the people trading with Iran deal with Iran.

And?

Neither will do shite.
