There has never been such a thing that has happened in our Country. Large numbers of stores are leaving San Francisco and other cities. Some chains are closing most of their stores, it is all not even believable.

I like trump but do not see a role for NG to stop such things. Retailers need to secure their stores and pass the cost onto the consumers InThose areas

The stores need to require criminal passports for entry. “2 misdemeanor theft convictions, public intoxication and disturbing the peace”. Nope you may not enter this establishment.
It’s no more absurd than requiring someone to have a barely effective shot for entry.

bullshite! retailers will do no such thing. Look at what almost happened to Rittenhouse!
The NG has a tried and true role in stopping civil insurrection. Just as they were used to ensure civil rights were respected, so should they be used now. In both cases the local police abdicated their role due to politics.

the NG is better suited for it right now than they were under Trump. i'd have been on eggshells if i were a NG sent to riots last summer.
if anybody had died or something, it would have been directly tied to Trump. Media will gloss over it if it happens under Biden's order.

Retailers don’t stop shoplifting anymore . Their employees are told to let the shoplifter go to avoid any lawsuits. We live in a society of wimps .

We do not need more Federal police action. Do you really want the DOJ dieting troops for domestic crimes???? Trump has a lousy understanding of Federalism and how to run the country. He only seems great to many because the current President is the worst of all time and Obama and W were only marginally better than Biden.

Because I don’t want federal troops used to ensure retailers in Democrat areas remain profitable? Or because I think retailers should bear the responsibility for securing their own merchandise? Or because I think they should pass any additional costs onto local consumers of those products?
How is people smashing Windows in San Francisco a problem for me?

Problems aren’t just in the hood.
I think the only reason these idiots haven’t tried this at Rodeo Drive yet is that those stores are notorious for controlling access to a select clientele.

Trump is saying that because he knows the NG will never get deployed for this.

Oh yeah, every Walgreens and Target would need a few dozen extra security 24-7. That will work. You are a genius - store security will be a great job for all the homeless. Perhaps they can sleep in the stores at night while guarding them. Two birds man, two birds!

While this may be true, I've been a personal injury attorney for 15 years and never once sued a store on behalf of a shoplifter that was detained. The potential case has never crossed my desk. It doesn't happen.
