Ughhh. I think everyone likes to think they would. Many might already know they would. Those, like me or Trump, who haven’t been in that situation shouldn’t try and claim the mantle of bravery earned by those who have done selfless things.

Didn't they protest the Vietnam war? Didn't they worship as heroes people who avoided being drafted?
Hard to take them seriously ever. And especially when it comes to anything related to military, service, or sacrifice.

I remember when leftist used to glorify those who avoided the Vietnam War. They didn't shift their opinion on that until enough of their voters ended up being too young to have been in the Firing Line.
