So what exactly makes a baby in the womb a potential human and not an actual human?
Because I don't see it as a human yet? I also don't have an issue with birth control, yet that's generally stopping children from being born too.

I see you’re conflating god and Christ. Common redneck mistake.

He actually does. Western Civilization's moral code is based heavily on His laws.
Or, Gods laws are based on common sense.

Definitely. I mean Japan and other Asian countries seem to have laws, morals and standards independent of the Christian religion and the Bible.

Homicide is legal in Japan according to RollTide.

And yet a lot of that common sense wasn't considered common until after Christianity took the Roman Empire by storm in the fourth century.

Abortion is part of God’s plan. If God thinks these babies shouldn’t see the light of day then who are we to question him?
"Shall I bring to the point of birth but not give delivery?” says the LORD." (Isaiah 66:9a)
God doesn't do abortions.

So when you die choking on a dildo, I'll be sure to point this out at your funeral for the two attendees.

Well for one a lot of Roman and Greek history has been lost. Also, a huge chunk of the 10 Commandments translate to Sharia Law more than governmental law.

Yeah...when you have no argument just throw out random shite that I didn't say.

Sure it has. But we know what we know. Greco-Roman society was by no means an enlightened society as we consider the word today.

Interesting on this thread (OP) how the votes up vs down show how many RINOs are actually on TD….. the up votes show it!

This retarded argument started because I said God doesn’t make laws, and you said he does so! Congress makes laws sweetie.

This seems to be an arbitrary definition of life.
As to abortion, I'm attempting to ascertain the point at which legal rights would vest. there is absolutely no reason that the two event must coincide.
quote:you seek a biological answer to a philosophical question.
How close to sapience do the unborn have to be? Would a day be close enough? A week?
If you accept the premise that a blastocyst is not a sapient being, and that a pregnant woman is a sapient being, you can follow the analysis. If you must base your analysis on some sort of supernatural hokum, like the "soul," then the analysis will not work for you. It's really that simple.

The Romans built a very enlightened society. The CChristianity surge actually led to devolution into the Middle Ages.

The number of "crimes" that exist solely as a result of Christianity could be counted on one hand, and most of them would be archaic nonsense, which has no place in modern culture ("blue laws").
