I have no problem being proactive when the EU just showed us that they will block what we’re trying to accomplish by denying use.

What money will we buy it with since we are $39.2T in debt? I’d love to buy 3k acres on the Mississippi River. It’d be awesome for my hunting. That said, I’m a member of a club on the river instead. More affordable with same access.

Almost certain they bought it from Mauritius in the 60's for a couple million. Could be wrong though.

The Chagis Islands deal that Kier Starmer signed recognized that Mauritius had sovereignty over the islands, but that the UK would maintain Diego Garcia via a 99 year lease, at the conclusion of which, Mauritius would assume full control over Diego Garcia as well.

Nothing more British than continuing to lose your global empire without lifting a finger. Argentina should just take the Falklands - the current British government would probably just apologize.
