One of my memories of the Trump administration was just how poorly Trump was prepared to make political appointments. It came back to bite him often. He had no experience in working with those folks. Some appointments were good, Mnuchin. And some weren't Mattis, McMaster, Bolton.

I'm not sure how that would ever not be an issue for someone who had NEVER held a political office before.

It was an okay tradeoff for me as a voter.

I'm not sure how much any of that affected me in any way.

This administration has had little turnover. Is anything better for you because of that?

Point out where I stated that. I didn't. You want to play word games we can. You want honest talk we can.

It comes across as implied that he cant figured it out and needs to temp under Trump.

Serving in the house is nothing like serving in the White House. Jobs are totally different. The scope of who you have to put in place is totally different. DeSantis has never appointed a CIA director and had to go through the process...etc etc etc...

Have you worked for the gov't before?

And is a reason why it's not a bad idea to have DeSantis in the executive for 4 years prior to assuming the Presidency.

I'm not saying he will. I'm saying I don't see it as a bad idea. To me, it's looking like a highly recruited QB taking a redshirt. He's not burning a year to learn the system...

Yeah, every president a few. Some of Trump's was to handle specific tasks. You may be great at one thing but not suited for another.

Tillerson, for example, did his job. Once that job was completed, attentions turned to other tasks that he was not great at.

Under him, new applications to work for the Foreign Service fell by 50 percent, and four of the six career ambassadors as well as 14 of the 33 career ministers, equivalent to military four- and three-star generals, departed.

Trump wanted a leaner executive. In other words, reduce the Department of State's budget by 31%. Tillerson froze hiring.

He got rid of 2000 career diplomats by offering them $25,000 buyouts.

Desantis would be better staying as Gov of Florida than being VP.

I can see an argument for that too. In fact, I have made that argument.

However, I can see it being a massive plus to being in a VP position and the next up. The experience would be a massive head start.

That's just personal opinion.

No, you tell me. How am I supposed to know where to look it up? You’re not even telling me anything he did, so how am supposed to find it. You bring no evidence and just think that Trump literally craps gold and is incapable of error. As far as I’m aware, John Bolton has done nothing of good and value in his life and is an evil, evil man. Only BoarEd beats you in the stupidity department on this board.

I have already posted on that.

All you’ve said is he served his purpose… and that is? And your response is to look it up. And when I say Trump fricked up big time hiring Bolton, it’s back to this again:

I would think you to be smart enough to look up his appointment and what was going on during that time.

I would also think you would be smart enough to look up his firing and why that happened to.

It's all goal related.

Yeah.. see.. He served a purpose. Then was dismissed.

No. I posted what Tillerson was there to do. I even posted the results of what he was asked to do.

So you are not smart enough to look it up?

Like maybe March 22, 2018...

Maybe June 12, 2018..

Would that help you?

It should not be used to disqualify DeSantis as lacking the ability to put together a functional team. I doubt Trump thought he would win. He was absolutely caught by surprise.

Good thing nobody used it to disqualify him.

In my opinion, DeSantis would be stupid to join a ticket with Trump. The only that should join his ticket would be someone trying to get noticed - not someone whose only trajectory could be down.

Why do you think he'd have a shot at running as Trump's VP in 2028?

……..LOOK UP WHAT, YOU frickING RETARD? I have no fricking idea what you want me to look up. Just take your word something may have happened, may have not, but regardless Trump is a genius for it.

What’s the goal? I don’t know what you’re talking about. “Oh you know, the goal.” …What goal?!

No. I posted what Tillerson was there to do. I even posted the results of what he was asked to do.

Which is? Did you teleport from a parallel universe where you say vagaries as facts and expect everyone to know what you’re talking about?

How many times did your mother drop you on your head? You’re just telling me he did something that was good, maybe near the beginning, and implying Trump is a genius for firing him. I look up John Bolton and it’s nothing but both sides bashing him ruthlessly. John Bolton is so bad that even Vox said that Bolton made Trump look cool and a good guy in comparison.

I take it back, you’re dumber than BoarEd.

We need new and young blood now. Nobody over 70 for the next few cycles. Trump will be close to 80 in 2024. Too old. Just like Biden. Too old. I don't care that he can still swing a golf club. Why doesn't he work for Habitat for Humanity like Carter did?

jjdoc hasn’t had a single original thought at least since at least 2015. Why think when the Orange God King can do it for you? Thinking is a dangerous pastime for people like jjdoc.
