I agree that ultimately this infuses money into American corporations that just haven’t been able to compete with import prices. At the end of the day, the consumer pays the bill.
If this was a long-term import tax, I would be fine with it because it would incentivize smaller companies to spring up to compete. Ultimately competition is a consumers best friend, there just isn’t any.
