It's not... I have few vices, pepsi zero is one of them. They were like a dollar cheaper per 12pk than Coke for a long time at walmart... now they aren't.

Yes. Trashy. I know.

Well we don't import very much beef and the prices today are a result of a long term drought a couple of years ago that had cattlemen thinning their herds. Nothing to do with tariffs but it will be at least a couple of years before prices fall. So, you are wrong on beef. Neither president had much to do with the beef price rise.

This is true. We have lowered catfish prices to try to increase sales with little luck because retailers and restaurants won’t lower their prices. The only luck you have with it is if a restaurant or store wasn’t buying previously and decides to buy now.

Some are. Some aren't.

Why are you confused?

I have not eaten fast food, restaurant food or junk food in years. I eat what’s made in my house. That said you are absolutely correct about high meat prices along with everything else. You can thank the government for inflation as it’s 99.9999 caused by government money printing

Google says this so maybe you have be fortunate in pricing issue

As of late 2024/late 2025, finding a gallon of milk for $1.09 in the United States is generally not possible in retail stores, as the current national average price is significantly higher. Prices this low have not been typical for several years, though some historical data shows a comparable price in the 1930s when adjusted for inflation.
The average price for a gallon of conventional whole milk in the U.S. in November 2025 was approximately $4.32.

Very fortunate… I’ve yet to find anyone else on here paying $1.06 even though I know there are some other SC peeps on here.

I’m not confused at all. The vast majority of groceries are more expensive. Eggs being one of few outliers. Seems it’s the folks with TWS on here that are confused.

Not sure where you live, but things have stabilized for me, or gone down some. Like eggs. Other than beef.

Also….gas is down for me too. Once that stabilizes then costs will come down. Transportation companies are super slow on lowing the fuel surcharges

Obviously it must be a special deal in your area. While I am not the primary shopper in my family, I do procure most of the milk in my household as my wife always tells me to get some on the way home from work.

I have never seen pricing that low at any store I shop. But I did check 7 different Walmart stores from Pensacola to Birmingham and all I could find under $2 was a quart.
