OMB. By any means necessary.

I’d respectfully disagree with that.

Businesses that have remained open have done very well. The forced shutdowns are what is hurting the economy.

Took your orders from your overlords I see. Cases is new objective b/c it is never ending and will never be eliminated. It's only being used to push mail in voting. This thing is as lethal as the flu and we need to get back to life. If you have a medical condition then you should take precautions, not the other 99% who will be just fine.

I will ride with you a little bit on this concept. Business transactions were going to slow down regardless of whatever level of shutdown. Because many, many people were and still are afraid. That's just a reality. And as business transactions slowed, so follows staffing level decisions, purchasing and supply chain decisions, etc etc. Now, I can't weigh in on which of the pandemic itself or the closings has been more damaging statistically speaking, but again, I would agree that even just the pandemic itself, sans any shutdown, was going to deal a significant blow to the economy one way or another.

Listen to this arse backward logic: the harder you screw your economy, the more protected you are from this virus.

Yes. Sweden has seen similar economic damage as its Scandanavian neighbors despite keeping more businesses open through out. They've had 6-12x more deaths per capita. Some people might say that it's worth it to less restrict normal living, but that doesn't seem to make sense to me. From a political standpoint it also doesn't seem to compute because older people vote disproportionately and they really want leaders to minimize the presence of this virus.

How does it feel to know you are either:

1. Incapable of producing your own salient thoughts

Or

2. An unabashed, absolute moron

?

If this guy is a doctor, then I am an astronaut. He is advocating for shutting the country back down because of something on par with the flu because of "cases." Keep moving those goal posts doc.

You don't have to have a goal of eliminating the pandemic to be for being more aggressive in mitigating it. The negative consequences of the disease, economic and medical, are worse when there are more cases in our communities. When you reduce cases you get fewer deaths, less morbidity, more consumer confidence, better protected supply chains to produce.

Like when H1N1 had 50 million more cases than Covid 19. Oh wait, that had 0 effect on the economy.

The only things that moved the needle economically were the shutdowns. Case counts are only indicators for morons. Hospital capacity and deaths are what matters.

what do you have against Harvey Risch from Yale who says using HCQ in early stages kicks Covid's arse.

His opinion is inconvenient to the narrative you want to promote....ehhhh Doc?

Nah.
We have more because of the obvious difference --- we have thousands of Covid spreaders chanting Black Live Matter as they pass on a virus which laughs at their message.

Those damn buffoons. Fricking idiot Cuomo is beating his chest about how low his cases and deaths have gotten in NY. Well, no shite dumbass. You didn't do anything and infected half your state and killed off the nursing home patients.
