but I’d think the peril is greater than a 1 year suspension

With the makeup of the CO court, I agree. Unfortunately. More political persecution.

The jig is up…

The jig is up is a phrase which means the plot has been foiled, the deception has been seen through, the game is over.

My guess is She will pay her fine and supervised will become unsupervised.

That is completely possible and like I said unless she pisses off her PO she will likely have a long leash outside of interstate travel but that is usually just a formality with most white color criminals. I didn't read the statute but from what I read she got 5 years suspended, a 5,000 fine and 100 hours of CS. That could be accurate or not, I did not read the judges order just the reporting of it.

Why did he plead if it was a misunderstanding?

Misunderstanding was deliberately in quotes. He dropped a $4,500 tennis braclet in his pocket (on camera) while the sales clerks back was turned. His defense was they let him borrow it to show his wife. Bottom line he expected them to let it go because he was such a good customer (he spent over $12k that day alone) and according to them they offered to just let him return it or pay but he just kept putting them off because he was busy. I didn't rep him as I don't generally do criminal work but he gave me the full story and because I was coordinating with the crim defense attorney I got the other side too. I do know his wife was pissed at him because they could not travel internationally for those 4 years.

It means she took probation instead of going to court and facing 1-5 years from an Atlanta judge. She was charged with making false statements. (Such as there was a burst pipe). It’s a completely political charge and she took unsupervised probation. The useful idiots think this means they “got him now!!”

No…it means she lied, mislead, and acknowledged she was wrong and accepted her fate.

Tomato tomahto.

The left is saying she lied and committed a crime. The right is saying the leftist DA pursued a case no objective DA would pursue and is using the threat of prison to get the talking points she wants.

The right is correct.

She admitted the story about the Fulton County officials ordering poll watchers to leave while they continued working is a false story that the Trump team presented as true.

I will repeat again. This statement is more true than false. You repeating that it’s a false statement is more false than true. Should you be prosecuted for lying about the election?

Infantile take. Everyone knows it’s an infantile take. Even the people repeating it.

A lie doesn’t become truth
Wrong doesn’t become right
And evil doesn’t become good
Just because it’s accepted by a majority.

ETA. Michael Teter has indicated he will file a new complaint against her in Colorado NYT. Her censure was based on tv and Twitter statements so Colorado doesn’t appear to have dealt with the statements to the GA legislature. Censure opinion

I'm absolutely not a lawyer and I do not understand any bar, let alone the bar of Colorado ...

Does this mean Jenna Ellis is more likely to face disbarment as a result of this guilty plea?

Neither does a truth become a lie simply because it’s inconvenient.

Let me guess. Unsupervised probation? Super strong case. You should be ashamed of yourself.

She has plead guilty to a felony charge and unlike Scott Hall I don't see a disclaimer that her crime didn't involve moral turpitude. She has in effect given up her legal career. That's a pretty severe punishment.

Both Powell and Ellis are able to speak to the state of mind of those they were interacting with, so Trump for Powell and Giuliani for Ellis.

I don't really see how she can remain a lawyer having plead guilty to a felony. It's not automatic disbarment but to give you an idea of the standard lawyers are held to, having defaulted on student loans is serious roadblock to becoming an attorney in CO.

The issue here, and I know you don’t believe this, is that no crime was committed. The state is holding jail over thes defendants heads and telling them they will let them off if they admit they were wrong.

In contract law it would be called coercion and it would vitiate the contract. The state is corruptly prosecuting political opposition to force them to say what they want. And you support it.

But what is you think police and prosecutors do all day every day in major cases?

Do you think they just do good old fashioned detective work? That they're tough but fair?

No, they find one person they can scare the shite out of, regardless of how guilty they are, and go from there. The justice system is so obviously rigged to give easy convictions the public'd thirst for vengeance/results gives an obvious incentive to act this way.
