It's beyond obvious that this somehow relates to gambling. I doubt she made any money gambling in her own name, but someone somehow made money from this and a big chunk of it got back to Selzer. It wasn't personal; you could argue that what she did galvanized Trump supporters and got them to turn out. Others seem to think she had it out for Trump. The reality, though, is that when the other people betting on something have bad information and you have good information, you're going to make money.
