wtf is "affordable" when you are a homeless, street shitting, drug addict?

There used to be sanitariums and facilities for these people, but the "civil liberties" types got them all shut down.

Actually, there used to be available numerous types of odd-jobs and flop houses in skid row areas of cities for these people to lay their heads at night.

We’ve overregulated the world to death with zoning restrictions and ridiculous demands for things like saying every job should pay a “living wage” or not be available, which apparently means sustaining a family of 4 in a middle class lifestyle.

We used to have a world where it was possible for marginal people to live, well, marginal, but mostly unobtrusive lives. Some don’t understand the consequences (unintended?) of unending meddling in everything to make things better.

Proposing shelters and affordable housing in the suburbs has been a major progressive goal for decades.

You keep saying suburbs, I never saw suburbs in the article. i saw "outer reaches" of cities, which is not the suburbs

Right. Because authorizing the gov't to execute people for drugs is the adult thing to do. Jeeezzzz.....

Singapore and the Philippines both do this as I'm sure some Middle Eastern countries. Amazingly, they still have drug problems or else they wouldn't be killing people over it.

Quit with the pearl clutching.

Possession of over 50 grams of drugs in China triggers the "Intent to Distribute" which carries the death penalty. If you know anything about the Opium Wars, you know why they do it.

Aubie, you/your team should really reassess your woefully failing policy. Do you really believe that the Americans who WORK hard and honest are going to just lay down as this Nation goes up in flames? Do you not see the manner of blowback that WILL come? It is utter insanity to shut down our energy supply and let heathen command the streets. And it will not fly much longer. And there is not a fence or wall tall enough to stop what is building. Think Mussolini or the French Revolution. It’s one thing for the heathen to disrespect and ignore Law but altogether another when the good folk abandon it. Drop the bs TDS or it’s going to get ugly. Albeit, to each their own. Lord will judge.

The rarity of those incidents does not support your argument.

FWIW, I am against the death penalty.

However, I have no issue with piling them in the leftist utopia that is Hawaii, and then cutting ties with Hawaii.

Did Trump say it would be like a concentration camp? Maybe the dems want evryone to think that. They themselves are governing like the Nazi regime, and saying its Trump wanting that. There are too many dems and socialist running the country into the ground.

Having seen about half the SEC campuses in person, I must say that Florida's is more... "functional" than others. It reminded me a lot of SLU's campus. Wasn't too fond of Ole Miss's either, but at least they had that one nice building they put in all their promo material.

They are already camping.
Getting them off the street with better shelter than a cardboard box and trash is a whole lot better. What is so wrong with that?

Oh…and Drug dealers are the scum of the earth.

The homeless live in camps now…in lesser accommodations than what he’s talking about.

Unfortunately they are cluttering up and harming areas that productive members of society inhabit. This makes tons of sense.

And it’s not because they lack places to go. Most are mentally I’ll or addicts or both and just because you say ok here’s a camp go live there doesn’t mean they will. You either force them to or they’ll keep staying right where they’re at.

Ah, excellent point on why they should walk free instead of being put to death.

The War on Drugs was started under Nixon for political purposes. In all those years, has drug use gone down? Do you truly believe that harsher penalties will work? The War on Drugs is over. Drugs won. It's time to decriminalize and focus on treatment and prevention.

Words of a quitter. Yes, you are correct in a way....but the war is as simple as a wall. Once that stops traffic, the access areas can be sealed. We can easily force Mexico to get real on the drug lords and locations.
I'm not for anyone losing anything, but you HAVE to take people who shite on city streets and do drugs OUT of the cities that sustain our jobs and markets.

You're a quitter and an excuse maker. So nothing should get done, right? Go play
