Actually this is done with most infamous criminals. The idea is keep the confusion with law abiding citizens with the same name to a minimum. There was probably a few Lee Oswalds around back then hence the use of his middle name.

Not only that, but she appears to have a wedding ring on and I would never let my wife go meet 'some guy' for lunch. Not sure how she is involved, but find it tough to believe she was gonna create chaos with flip flops and reading glasses
