What’s 1,000 times zero? Because zero is the number of times North Korea has actually attacked anyone with nuclear weapons.

Kim has spent years using nuclear threats for leverage, just like Putin. But threatening nuclear war and actually starting one are very different things. Kim is sitting far and drunk in one of his palaces and he intends to remain alive and in power. There is no evidence that he views getting himself, his regime, and his country obliterated in retaliation as some desirable end state.

Iran might be more dangerous than North Korea, but if you want to keep the hysteria at max level, you’ll need something stronger than pointing to Kim’s obvious nuclear posturing and pretending every threat from him (or any) was a genuine declaration of intent.
