Not so much muh Russia, but Trump is blowing Putin right now.....and Putin knows Trump is blowing him thinking he (Putin) likes it with the hopes that all of the acquiescing and Ukraine bashing is going to make Putin more amenable to a deal that Trump presents.

Problem is, Putin does not care so much about the blowjob.....it's just a blow job and taking a European peacekeeping force off the table and no guarantees of a US backstopping on the peace deal is no deal for us . Thinking we can take 50% of Ukraine's minerals does not work if you don't have western security guarantees. Not after Uncle Vlad moves in to take the good real estate .

Mickey loves wrapping in his Ukraine snuggie and watching Gilmore Girls. Why does Trump want to take that away? Why is he so mean to the Raine boys and girls? Impeach

The goal needs to be de-escalation.
Stop poking a nuclear bear for no reason other than pride and MIC funding.
Russia needs to be an “ally”.

The rift is being created by the west you ignorant clown.

Peace cannot be brokered if the current diplomatic posture is perpetual Ukrainian war funding and sanctioning the frick out of Russia. It’s fairly obvious.

Sure, but is Trump not also insulting/demonizing Zelensky? How does that help broker a peace agreement? You implied we can't demonize one side of the deal and hope to reach an agreement.

He’s neutralizing his diplomatic position, which has to date been 100% pro Ukraine. You can’t negotiate any other way. This isn’t hard.

And western security guarantees aren’t really needed if a treaty can be established. Keep in mind that western security guarantees are Russia’s red line.

This shirt was condemned when it happened heard ago.

They are trying to drive a wedge between the US and Russia on peace negotiations.

Looks like we called their bluff.

The invasion was in 2014. Its been more than a decade. Worthless UN resolutions arent gonna do anything. Just like the people proposing the resolutions.

He’s not demonizing Z, but he is calling a spade a spade. Why is it appropriate to laud one obvious dictator over the other. You aren’t going to bring Z to the table by stroking his giant ego, condoning his despotic behavior, and guaranteeing his military security in perpetuity. Similarly you won’t get Putin to the table by doing the opposite.

One thing is clear. The prevailing Western strategy isn’t going to result in peace because it was never designed to do so. It’s expressly manufactured to perpetuate war and enrich western oligarchs in the MIC, and ultimately western “humanitarian NGOs” who will be handsomely paid to “rebuild” Ukraine.

Ya know, if Trump really wants to get a deal done, he could maybe not insult or praise either one of them and truly be the neutral mediator.

We left Russia no choice but to invade Ukraine. Ukraine was not abiding to the Minsk agreements and it later came out this was on purpose to let Ukraine build up their military.
Russia had invaded Ukraine long before either Minsk I or Minsk II.

Today, many people tend to overlook the fact that Russia's invasion of Ukraine took place in three distinct stages. First, the invasion (and later annexation) of Crimea, by (poorly-disguised) members of the Russian military. Second and thereafter, provision of Russian materiel and (again, poorly-disguised) Russian troops to support separatists in the Donbas. At this point, US aid to Ukraine was still rather minute on the grand scale.

Then came Stage 3 of the invasion, with the Russian military invading Ukraine as a whole and attempting to take Kiev/Kyiv in something of a failed blitzkrieg.

Ukraine was not on the verge of joining NATO, when Russia invaded Crimea. Russia was concerned that Ukraine was drifting westward to Europe for its economic future, rather eastward toward Moscow. Russia did not want to lose access to the naval base at Sevastopol, so it invaded Ukraine and took Crimea. It was really that simple. THAT is what started this entire brouhaha.

People who criticize a country for attacking and invading another country are warmongers now?

Idiocracy has arrived.

What you fail to recognize is the fact that once we got out of Afghanistan the warmongers needed another theater to get their grift on.

The good news for the warmongers, after we get peace in Ukraine, according to data from the Geneva Academy, there are currently over 110 armed conflicts happening around the world and the warmongers can foment conflict in one or many of these new theaters to get their grift on.

The real question is will those future OT war threads equal the current Russia/Ukraine war thread? Because, that one has set the bar pretty high.

During his interview with Tucker, Putin said it started in the 8th century with the Khazarians in the Ukraine area warring with ethnic Russians to the north of them.
