I partially agree. I think it is a transparent attempt to pander to American gays. Trump harbors no ill will toward the homos, and he never has. The hate he gets from the limpwrists and the Suburu owners is not deserved, and he’s willing to pander to them for a little acceptance. This has little to do with LGBT rights and more to do the Iran Nuclear deal and the poor response the U.S. got to its recent "anti-Iran" conference in Warsaw.
The Trump administration is trying to parlay this into gaining EU support for the Iran boycott.
(This is similar to the reason why Exxon posted Climate change info on it's website a while back. They wanted to earn points with their EU customers).
