I would call the DR more of a 2nd world dump than 3rd world. Its poor, but its relatively pretty safe. They have the fastest growing economy in Latin America. There also hasnt been a military uprising there in over 60 years
They take immigration very seriously - lot of beef with the Haitians. They also got accused of committing genocide against Haitian illegals in the not too distant past.
Ive spent collectively a several months there, its a nice spot to visit (and Im not talking about Punta Cana

I voted for all this delicious stuff I'm seeing in the "illegal transfer portal". They should be transferred back HOME, where they belong. I'm noticing more and more when contractors I've hired in the last year that have hispanic workers only, they do less and less legit work and want more money. I've moved on from 2 contractors in the last 6 months.
