No he is your typical liberal that has to live his life in a constant state of being offended……what a miserable way to live!

I’ve never seen a politician, regardless of political affiliation try to have an ASL interpreter barred, especially because it would “hurt his image“.
I don't even know if this story is real.. didn't another poster say it was paywalled?

This seems like a dumb battle to fight.

Easy it is a total waste of tax payer dollars when CC is already done. But hey let’s just waste more money since we are giving illegals billions already right?
The admin and DOJ are going to be sued per the article. That will cost the taxpayers much more money. They were sued before for the same thing by the same organization and the suit was successful. More tax dollars at waste.

Were you not able to read the article? It’s not a paywall for me. There are other articles as well.

Trump could part his hair the other way and people would sue him. Maybe if the left wasn’t so hell bent on law fair and whining about shite that is inconsequential I’d actually give a frick.

I didn't click it after seeing a poster say paywall. Lemme go look.
Before I look- I honestly don't know why anyone would have an issue with ASL interpreter. Not off the top of my head, anyway.

Yes, especially in light of the DOJ‘s reasoning about hurting his image. People made better arguments in this thread for not having an interpreter than the DOJ.

It is.

The admin made better arguments, here's a snippet from a yahoo article,
quote:
Government attorneys also argued that it provides the hard of hearing or Deaf community with other ways to access the president's statements, like online transcripts of events, or closed captioning.
The administration has also argued that it would be difficult to wrangle such services in the event that Trump spontaneously took questions from the press, rather than at a formal briefing.

Who gives a frick? He’s the most press accessible potus in decades. It’s not like he’s trying to hide anything.
Our last president was a rumor.

I agree it’s inconsequential to allow an interpreter at the scheduled press briefings.

I saw this story last week. I was truly incredulous. The battles this man chooses to fight are baffling.

Got to save some money. Those bombs for Israel aren’t going to pay for themselves.

The article is discriminatory against blind people. How are they supposed to understand if they don't even have an option for audio playback of it?

Same could be said about progressives:
- Wanting delusional dudes to read books to children
- Out Saint George Floyd of Fentanyl
- Narco-terrorist drug runners
- Tranny’s in the military
- Reparations
- Mandating the Clot Shot
- Pronouns
- Illiegals using entitlement programs
- Illegals in general
- Aloha Snackbar is the religion of peace
- Russia, Russia, Russia
- Oh yeah funding the tin pot dictators never ending bank account….i mean war!
