It isn’t just compliance people.
It’s teachers and support staff.
When one child requires a one to one student/ teacher ratio, you end up with a funding issue. That hurts the rest of the student population.
Our local school systems, and the good people that attempt to navigate the DOE’s bullshite, are hamstrung. It’s a damn shame.

He's hardly the first to suggest it. Gingrich called for this 30 years ago. The problem is that it requires action by Congress also. So we have to get control of both houses of Congress.

As time goes on I've come to realize that Louisiana politics is not all that much different than national politics. Louisiana politicians are just not as adept at disguising their treachery as the one in DC.

You do realize, since the inception of the department if education, we’ve become less educated as a nation vs the rest of the world. I always said if I were ever president, dissolving the DOE would be first on my list.

I saw this and totally agree. My only question is what would the states do that rely heavily on funding from the DoE? Would that responsibility be passed to the states and their citizens by way of taxes or would it be funded through something else?
