TLJ had plenty of flaws.. and they aren't what got the right fired up about it

SAW it and liked it, much better than the last one. I liked rouge one the best out of the new versions because the female lead was smoking to go with a good movie.

It was an abomination. I expect week 2 to be a big drop off and not just because it’s not a holiday weekend.

Lando could be a pedophile, but if it’s not in the movie then it’s irrelevant.

There was nothing in the movie that would lead you to believe Lando was gay.

Honestly the main factor for me is that I really don’t like how Disney has handled the IP and the only way to make them change and start doing quality, original stories is to vote with my wallet.

The virtue signalling is peripheral to that central concern.

This movie is suffering the backlash from TLJ. From what I've heard its not a bad film at all. This should have been on autopilot to clear close to a billion bucks.

You know, if you make a shitty movie and people point out its a shitty movie, calling them misogynistic racist homophobic bigots isn't exactly going to make them want to go see the next movie in the franchise. Even if its not a shitty movie.

Shockingly most of us don't like to be slurred in such a way. It might, just might, not be the best marketing strategy to use if ytou piss on your fans and tell them its raining.

Disney didn't just kill the goose that laid the golden eggs, they molested and tortured it first. The first rule of Hollywood and this should be branded on every studio executives forehead... "If you want to send a message, use Western Union."

Just make a good movie. If its good we don't care if the lead actor is a transgender pansexual from Outer Mongolia. If its bad, and you'll have that, have the decency to either own up to it or sweep it under the rug.

I'm not sure I can take an opinion like that seriously.

TFA was no prize, but it was better than TLJ by any measure imaginable.

TLJ thoroughly shite on one of the most iconic fantasy characters of all time.

It even took open plot points from 7 and went "frick the fans".

But I it is edgy to not hate TLJ, so I guess I get it.

My not liking solo all that much has nothing to do with politics. It just was an okay movie at best. I came away feeling Meh. I won't discourage others to see it, but I also will not be telling others it is a must see either.
