In a world full of fake politicians, this dude is one of the fakest.

He ran on cleaning up crime, I really didn't give a shite if he did anything else at all, and yet our cities are still 3rd world war zones. Can't even go to small town festivals without wondering if you're going to get shot.

Living in South La. #5 is the big one for me. Finally a real chance to make a difference and they totally F the People. Nungesser is just as bad pandering to the fishermen with Fresh water killing seafood line. I get it. I was raised by an Oyster Fisherman but if we dont do something now there will be no South La. left.

Selling us out to Exxon over Carbon Capture will hopefully lead to a major shake up in state representatives and may catch Landry on the outside looking in too. Probably just wishful thinking but we need some major change in our state.

There is no party primary for state races only federal. He is an upgrade from JBE but that is a low bar. His LED Secretary is good. Shane Guidry is terrible but much better than NOLA politicians Troop NOLA is a big success. Need a conservative business candidate to challenge him ? Schroeder

You acknowledge predatory trial lawyers and still blame insurance companies.

Sorry where did I acknowledge “predatory” lawyers?

We have made major tort reforms in the past 5 years. Did your rates change? Their profit margins did.

Why dont they do that the same in every state? Why are they "screwing" the public on auto insurance less in 48 other states? Wouldn't they want to "screw" everyone harder if it's simply a case of corporate greed?

5. He killed the Barataria Diversion. Again, promises kept. These promises were to Nungesser and the fisherman cabal. Decades of research down the toilet. Some folks might like this move, but in 50 years we will all rue the day when the Gulf of Amexico is lapping at the levees on the westbank.

Some may disagree on this one.

Here is what I see now. Research is a two way street and sometimes science gets twisted like the Global Warming research that never pans out. There was some research that is now being reported that was hidden from the corps that could have doomed the project.

Also, the price increases just keep rising to where the state was going to be on the hook for the overages and ongoing dredging costs.

This is from someone that would consider JL the equivelent of a snake oil or used car salesman.

If anyone thinks Dove knows jack shite about coastal restoration and protection, you don't know anything at all.

I'm not defending Dove, but he knows more about coastal restoration than you. So theres that.

as to the Barataria Diversion, that was/is going to be another boondoggle. And if you think the oyster mafia will ever let anything be done that adversely impacts their livelihood, you don't know jack shite about Louisiana

the rest of your reasons are legit.

He’s trying to dismantle the DOTD and privatize it, problem is they tried that before with the Louisiana Timed Management Program and it failed miserably and cost the state millions

Literally every single time Louisiana privatizes anything, it costs a shitload more money and becomes way worse. Yet we somehow keep trying to privatize things.

He really wasn’t. He put on good performances on some red meat issues that didn’t amount to a hill of beans.

He was nothing but a blowhard who was tossing out social conservative positions to get elected.

the ones pushing the hardest for reform are the agents. those whose pockets would get hit if the market improved.

Didn't the better reforms get vetoed?

Again, if it's just the insurance companies, why are auto rates cheaper in 48 other states?

what’s “better?”

Insurance companies got the collateral source rule cut from
100% to 40%

They got 2 year SOL

They killed direct action changed so they can’t be named in suits.
