Podesta did the SAME THING as Manafort

Except that Podesta doesn't potentially have any incriminating evidence against Trump.

You are not supposed to like this, but it's not out of the ordinary.

Let 5 go to get 1 doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

especially since Podesta is heavily involved in the FARA violations and i'm curious how he handled his payments himself

Manafort had to launder the money or else declare it and essentially admit the FARA violations

what did Podesta do with his cut?

why would Manafort bankrupt himself first if this option is legitimately on the table? why not just take it now?

Because there is no “there” there.

I wonder why Manafort wasn’t offered immunity to testify against Tony Podesta?

SO you admit it's a witch hunt to get Trump by any means necessary, even if his indictment/trial have nothing to do with Trump. Nice

If Manafort is convicted, that will give Mueller leverage to get Manafort to roll on Trump.

Then this is about finding a crime with which to charge Trump and nothing else. Not Russia, not equal application of the law, not fair administration of justice. Call it what it is: a fishing expedition to charge Trump associates and leverage them into disclosing alleged crimes before he ever became President. You could convict every American of a crime if this kind of witch hunt was applied across the board.

What reason was the entire special council appointed to investigate?

I don't think Mueller is looking to put together evidence of Trump crimes unrelated to his candidacy. Maybe so, but he's wasting his time if he is.

then i seriously doubt Manafort has much to offer him and the immunity for Podesta makes even less sense

The importance of this cannot be understated. Seems more like they are just trying to save some asses.

so what does this mean?

Immunity from what?

And Manafort is in jail over crimes committed in 2006?
