Bowe Bergdahl and Barack Obama think that’s a perfectly good deal.

Supposedly immune from being tried on the same crime. Sounds like they are letting Podesta skate free from the same crime that was commuted by manafort during 2006.

I wonder why Manafort wasn’t offered immunity to testify against Tony Podesta?
Because Tony Podesta wasn't part of the trump campaign

SO you admit it's a witch hunt to get Trump by any means necessary, even if his indictment/trial have nothing to do with Trump. Nice

You're a POS if you support this

You need to wake up and smell the real world.

If Mueller thinks he needs evidence of certain facts to make a relevant case against Trump, and Manafort has that evidence, convicting Manafort is a possible means to obtain that evidence. Plain and simple.

This case which ultimately involves a possible conspiracy to illegally influence a presidential election.

In highly significant cases like this, going after a guy like Manafort for an unrelated crime happens every day in the real world.

There you go again with your BS fairy tale. Hillary lost because she was a POS and boogeyman Russia didn't impact the election

Mueller is a hack

Wow! Mueller and his team of Democrats need to be investigated pronto! They are actually using Manafort as an excuse to cover up the Podesta brothers crimes.

The entire Mueller investigation of Trump has been a smoke screen to cover up the crimes of the Obama administration.

Manafort had to launder the money or else declare it and essentially admit the FARA violations

Why not just register under FARA? Seems like a lot of unnecessary hoop jumping.

Why are the left so completely and utterly dense to this?

How was the election “supposedly” influenced?

Because your party was caught cheating in their own primary. You want to have justification for losing instead of being accountable for your own parties corruption. Even if you are a political party tribalist, how can you not focus your efforts on Hillary is beyond me.

so what does this mean?

Immunity from what?

And Manafort is in jail over crimes committed in 2006?

that makes no sense on multiple levels, but the easiest is: Trump can pardon Manafort. what leverage does a coviction really bring?

the pressure is pre-indictment

the leverage and offers decrease with each step post-indictment. doing an actual trial means deals are basically off the table

but i'm sure you have vast experience actually litigating criminal cases

well

hiding the FARA issues was one reason not to declare it

they 100% got greedy and wanted to avoid taxes

Because most people do not register under FARA. It is one of those laws that is rarely complied with and rarely enforced.

Every single member of Congress and 75% of DC would have to register if the the law was enforced across the board.

This is why the original indictments against Manafort are so laughable.

Mueller was charged with investigating the trump campaign and any crimes that came up during that investigation

He found Manafort's crimes

Keep up, sizzle chest
