Approximately 29% of U.S. women aged 18–49 use oral contraceptive pills
Approximately 8% of U.S. women aged 15–49 currently use a hormonal IUD.
Approximately 11% to 13% of American adults reported taking antidepressant medication in the past 30 days
19% of adults took medication for mental health in 2022
Over 6% of U.S. adults have a diagnosed ADHD condition

They have to go cold Turkey...

What happens?

I’d be curious in seeing the stats for age ranges 18-30 and 31-49 separately.

Not sure what happens, but this thread sucks. And would continue to suck tomorrow.

There would be a ton of pissed off men that couldn’t get laid and didn’t have medication to help them keep it together.

Also 7% of men between 18-49 have had a vasectomy

Its possible, but not the only possible outcome.

Somehow humanity survived without these for all of civilization.

But now some are upset that their free sex and dopamine might get cut off...

They will die within 6 months after taking out .10 citizens per head case

From the number of down votes I would say you are right.

I was curious what percentage of people would be upset at the idea of losing their meds.

Seems about right of the recent crowd.

I used to think this way as well. And while I do still think it is wildly over diagnosed, it is a real condition.

My son, by today’s standards would easily have been diagnosed as having ADHD and wife mentioned several times that maybe we should get him on medication. I refused and told her he just needed to be kept busy and occasionally have his arse whipped. Luckily for him he was very athletic cause we kept him in sports year round. We also limited his video game time and made him actually go outside and play. He turned out fine. Now he is a productive adult and is well adjusted enough to know that he has to keep himself busy with hobbies and playing with his own kids while not at work.

Fast forward to my grandson (daughter’s oldest boy). He has my sons issues time 100. He and my daughter lived with me for the first 4 years of his life and once she got married we have remained very close. We tried keeping him busy with sports, stern discipline and daughter was very strict with his diet, limiting food dyes and processed sugars as much as possible. Monitoring his diet helped alot but he was still having major issues. She finally broke down and got him on medication at about 6. It was like night and day. I was worried about him being like a zombie but it just calmed him down and balanced him out. At the time I was still hesitant about the medication until he and I were hanging out one Saturday. I asked him what he thought about the medicine. He told me for the first time it felt like his brain wasn’t spinning. About broke my damn heart. Since then his school work has drastically improved and it has allowed him to focus more on hobbies he enjoys and baseball, which is the only sport he has played that he wished to continue. Daughter and my son in law still makes sure he is occupied with constructive task and he is still disciplined when he does things out of line but I don’t think he would be as well adjusted without the medication.

I imagine our birth rate rises above 2 children per woman over a few years.

While a number of people seem annoyed at this, China supplies the majority of the Precursor Drugs for most CNS products.

There is a huge risk of it happening if we get into a war with China.

Luckily for everyone, outright war with China is just about impossible.

It’s total economic suicide for either nation. We’re completely dependent on each other, any conflict only results in losses for the US and CCP.

External parties like India and Europe would be the victors.

Sorry, I meant no offense. I realize there are people who do get these kinds of things but there are so many people on the meds for it that it makes you wonder if they're not being over-treated.

Apologies again and I wish for nothing but the best for you and your son.
